McCool: issues in profile have been fixed, BTW

Sebastian: Japanese CG, CG charter discussion, TF updates

Sebastian: asking for comments on WoT CG charter, will discuss next week in Marketing calll

McCool: ideally join the Marketing call next week, will discuss WoT CG charter then

Sebastian: any objections to publishing?
… hearing none, will publish

updates

Sebastian: testfest conflicts with holiday in Japan

McCool: no holidays the week of 25th in Japan or Europe

proposal: Change date of Testfest to occur during the week of July 25

RESOLUTION: Change date of Testfest to occur during the week of July 25

Sebastian: next, joint call with SDW-WG

McCool: working on updating proposal, but as a heads-up I intend to propose a geolocation ontology for WoT in the next charter

Sebastian: next, draft charter, needs to be updated

Kaz: talked to PLH, working on it, and process

Sebastian: next, cancellations

McCool: will create update for next Jul 19 DTDL meeting

McCool: what should we do to prep for the DTDL meeting?

Erich: already sent link to latest spec in presentation I sent, we should start there

Sebastian: I did already a comparison a while ago, I will have to find these slides and update
… but I think was based on DTDL 1.0, so needs to update; but will bring to meeting

Lagally: did a quick search for DTDL on web; but when will 3.0 be available, and under what licensing terms?

McCool: in general this group cannot do NDAs, so we have to wait for it to be public

Erich: DTDL 3.0, have asked product team, but expect release date only in Sept (but not confirmed)

Lagally: same license?

Erich: that is the plan

TPAC

<kaz> doodle to identify good slots

Sebastian: looking at doodle, looking for slots that will work
… would be good to have more input

<sebastian> https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/e3lEqLpa

McCool: suggest we grab the early morning times on Monday and Wednesday as proposed

Sebastian: suggest we make a decision and put into the calendar
… would like to wait until next week to ask Ege and Daniel

McCool: would prefer to do it now, to head off conflicts

Kaz: already got a reminder from the event team
… also need to identify slots for joint calls

McCool: suggest we prioritize joint calls during TPAC

<kaz> (and group internal discussion during the previous week)

proposal: Request timeslots for WoT group meetings during TPAC on Monday Sept 12 from 8-10am Pacific and Wednesday Sept 14 from 8-10am Pacific.

RESOLUTION: Request timeslots for WoT group meetings during TPAC on Monday Sept 12 from 8-10am Pacific and Wednesday Sept 14 from 8-10am Pacific.

ACTION: kaz to create a wiki page for TPAC 2022

McCool: we can use the wiki to start tracking who will be there in person

Sebastian: joint calls
… SDW-WG not at TPAC
… McCool to contact DID, Sebastian to contact JSON-LD
… JSON-LD looking at signing, but also YAML support
… and also RDF* constructs
… kaz is talking with Automotive

McCool: registration is still not open for TPAC

publications

Architecture

McCool: architecture ready for CR candidate?

Lagally: some pending PRs, let's defer to next week

Wide reviews

Sebastian: regarding wide review, not seeing anything

Thing Description

Sebastian: regarding TD WD update publication, have static version now
… see TD PR #1517

<kaz> PR 1517 - Create CR Candidate Working Draft for publication

Sebastian: think we are ready to move forward to CR transition

McCool: when should we call the question for CR transition?

Sebastian: in one or two weeks, can discuss in TD call.

McCool: I personally would be ok with two weeks

Sebastian: then would like to have a resolution in two weeks for CR transition
… for TD spec

McCool: issue is right now there are still a lot of at-risk items
… if we wait until after testfest would be better, e.g. July 30 or so

McCool: or rather, Aug 3 if we want to use results from testfest

Sebastian: also think we should aim for Aug 3 for the other specs

McCool: agree; Discovery is also in good shape for that
… but cleaning up testing still needed

McCool: as for other testing things, implementation reports are improved

Sebastian: but still some issues with testing TMs

McCool: will discuss details in testing call

charter extensions

<sebastian> wot Issue 978 - Goals and Deliverable Discussion for WoT WG 2023 Proposed Charter

McCool: suggest we start collecting topics on the TPAC wiki when it is ready
… please still use the issue to add suggestions

OPC UA meeting

Sebastian: planned for Friday, there is first version of pres

<sebastian> Sebastian's slides

Sebastian: please if you have any comments, please speak up
… still need to work on logistics, e.g. irc channel

<sebastian> https://github.com/w3c/wot/pull/1020

McCool: I need to make some changes, focus on binding and move other topics (e.g Discovery) to a "possible" list

Kaz: for IRC, I propose we use "#wot"
… also, might be easier if you could move slides under "PRESENTATIONS"

McCool: also I plan to merge the technical descriptions after updates

WoT CG

Sebastian: meeting planned for July 5

McCool: please at least comment on the issues if you cannot make that call

action items

Sebastian: accessibility joint meeting?

McCool: would be a good idea
… but need actionable outcomes
… and voice interfaces are important for IoT in general, not just for "accessibility"

Kaz: having a joint meeting during TPAC would be a good starting point

TF reports

McCool: in security, cleaned up TLS/DTLS version usage in Arch, will discuss tomorrow
… and merged various improvements to discuss security and privacy wide review input

Sebastian: adjourn
