Meeting minutes

Minutes

<kaz> May-3

Ege: we should change to Ian Jacobs

Ege: minutes are approved

PR 309 Tool Organization

https://github.com/w3c/wot-marketing/pull/309

Ege: I have incorporated last week's feedback

Ege: any further remarks?

<cris_> +1 for the current looks

Daniel: looks good, there is a missing point at the end of each sentence

Kaz: I am good with the basic direction. However, there are several types of tools so we should categorize them further

Kaz: development tools is also a bit vague

Ege: so we will do the following: Development Tools is a bit vague, Ege will put further specific words; dot is missing at the end of the descriptions; TD tooling has wrong descrpition; These points will be fixed and this PR will me merged asynchronously. A followup PR is needed to provide the features of each tool

Netlify environment

<kaz> Issue 304 - Netlify Open Source License Checklist

Cristiano: I could not login initially but now it works. Others need to register first and then reaccept the invite while logged in

Kaz: regarding the Editors Team, you should check with the whole groups

<kaz> proposed WoT-JP CG page

<kaz> Docsaurus

Kaz: You can check the docsaurus document generator

Ege: it is a non negligible work to change to another technology so I would not think about it unless we have a problem

Daniel: netlify solves another problem, which is the preview. Jekyll worked out so far so I would not want to change. It is however good to keep track

Kaz: they had issues with generating the left hand side menu

Kaz: I wanted to explain the situation and why they are changing to docsaurus

CG Charter

https://github.com/w3c/charter-drafts/issues/394

https://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/egekorkan/charter-drafts/blob/gh-pages/2022/wot-cg-2022.html

Ege: I have talked with cristiano regarding the two issues
… namely charter-drafts issue 394 - [wot-cg] Specifying the contribution mechanics and https://github.com/w3c/charter-drafts/issues/393
… I have changed the PR based on the discussion we had on these two issues

Ege: I have also asked Ian Jacobs for a repository, it is being worked on

Ege: please have a look at the charter and provide feedback

Daniel: there is one point, the decision process links back to itself

Ege: this is weird. It is like that in the template as well
… I have opened the issue at https://github.com/w3c/charter-drafts/issues/396

Ege: regarding the CG collab, I have put my comments at the [CG Collab] prefixed issues

Daniel: how would the joint activity look like? Would it based on the members of both

Ege: I would like to transfer the TF to the CG

Daniel: so that means dropping the marketing TF from IG?

Ege: yes. I would also like to bring this discussion to the main call

Kaz: we should take a decision in TF and then bring it to the main call
… we should look at the proposed charter draft section by section

Ege: ok let's start by the scope next week

Ege: adjourned
