Ege: (goes through the minutes)

approved

PR #256

<kaz> PR 256 - Add target="_blank" to all external links

Ege: issues with tabs and windows;
… for all external links
… need to add target="_blank"
… this will open a new tab without closing the current tab
… but only for links that would leave the site
… while I was at it, also fixed a capitalization problem, and fixed the link for Industrie4.0; should point to the org, not the wiki page

Ege: any objections?
… (none, merged)

issue #235

<kaz> Issue 235 - Feedback for embedded.com article

Ege: feedback on embedded.com article
… feedback should have been hack.md, should have gotten a notification

pb: do need to update the style of the example, using some tooling that they use

issue #247

<kaz> Issue 247 - External Developer links in new tab/window

Ege: this was the issue related to PR #256
… is now closed

issue #257

<kaz> Issue 257 - outdated discovery links

dp: outdated links in discovery section

issue #231

<kaz> Add Description to Top of Each TF Wiki Page

Ege: to add description to top of each wiki page

McCool: all done, we can close this issue

Ege: (closed)

issue #224

<kaz> Issue 224 - Add Web Thing Protocol community group

Ege: about web thing protocol CG
… Ben is requesting that we add a link to this CG from the list of links to related CGs

WoT CG

Kaz: was going to send out some information on this, and the process

McCool: the question is whether to reopen nominations
… but since it is a CG, and Kaz is the "election official", we should let him decide procedures
… including reopen

McCool: should send a clear email that the process needs to be restarted from 0

<kaz> WoT CG Charter

Kaz: does include a procedure: see "Choosing a Chair"
… however, as McCool has mentioned, the web interface is a bit complicated, so the CG guys might want to use email to run the process

issue #150

<kaz> Issue 150 - Imprecise Subtitles for WoT Explainer Video

Ege: subtitles, there are some issues
… places where the subtitle are inconsistent with the voice

McCool: feel subtitles should capture intention; in some cases words were dropped or changed by accident
… and as for "they/he", intention is gender-neutral language; may not be possible in all translations but that is the *intention*

Kaz: there are also some technical problems with overlapping subtitles, due to wrong timing

Ege: the timing thing may have been fixed
… kaz seems to have fixed some of them

Kaz: should check the current situation and fix the remaining problems if any.

Ege: the TD one does seem like a real error, the "TD" is a duplicate from the previous subtitle line

McCool: ok, so we should fix that one

Ege: what is the process?

Kaz: please make a PR... or do you want me to do it?

Kaz: is this for timing or the TD problem?

Ege: just the TD problem

McCool: suggest ege does a PR for the languages he can deal with, Kaz does JP, and we find someone for Ch
… although the problem MAY only exist in the English version

new issue

<kaz> https://www.w3.org/WoT/ig/

<kaz> https://www.w3.org/2021/12/wot-ig-2021.html

Kaz: need to update IG charter link on website

issue #259 created

<kaz> Issue 259 - Update IG Charter on the website #259

issue #258

<kaz> Issue 258 - Documentation misses proper explanation of Discovery

McCool: suggest we work on explainers first, then draw from that content to fix this
… also profiles are missing

Ege: ok... (writes comment on issue)

issue #148

<kaz> Issue 148 - Jekyll Preview PRs

Ege: regarding Jekyll preview, need to get an account via W3C
… they have an unlimited open source account

Ege: so I am contacting them to sort that out

issue 246

<kaz> Issue 246 - Web Conference Meetings need to be updated

Ege: was closed, I reopened it
… need to decision to remove table from wiki, keep only version on web page

McCool: suggest send email, then make decision tomorrow in main call

issue #232

<kaz> Issue 232 - FAQ for WoT documents

Ege: this is for FAQ, would like to collect input from TFs

McCool: we may have to do this for explainers...

issue #220

<kaz> Issue 220 - Tasks of the Marketing TF

Ege: think we can close this issue....

McCool: might be good to put this info somewhere else, e.g. in the wiki or the README.md file
… suggest we "resolve" this issue by putting this material somewhere useful

Kaz: right. would be better to put this info on the Web pages themselves instead of this issue

Ege: ok, will put in the Marketing web page

Ege: adjourn
