Meeting minutes

<sebastia_> hi all, I will join 30min later. I like to present the Industry 4.0 use case

ml: add the link above for "setup the issue" and then approve the minutes

PR 148

PR 148 - Updated liaison chapter

ml: liaison section and acknowledgement section

kaz: wondering about the capitalized "SHOULD" right before the Liaison section
… given the Use Cases and Requirements document is an informative Note, we don't need to use the RFC2119 keywords

ml: right
… (fixes the typo)

kaz: Matsuda-san is working the text for ECHONET
… so let's merge this as the template for that purpose :)

ml: ok
… let's merge this PR and think about further edit after that

kaz: +1

(merged)

Other Issues with the label of "publication-2.0"

Issues marked with "publication-2.0"

ml: (goes through the list of issues)

Issue 104

Issue 104 - Discovery use cases

ml: Discovery use cases

WoT Discovery General Topics and Use Cases

kaz: ideally, it would be better for us to extract several typical use cases from this
… and put them into the use case template
… so that we can include them into the Use Cases and Requirements document

ml: (adds note on that)

Lagally's comment

Issue 105

Issue 105 - Finalize the section 4.5.1.2 of Health use case

kaz: given this issue is old in March
… and we have description on Privacy Considerations and References already
… we should be able to close this issue

mizu: agree

(closed)

Issue 106

Issue 106 - Finalize the section 4.6.1 of Manufacturing

ml: can be closed as well

(closed)

Issue 108

Issue 108 - Finalize the section 4.6.3 of Manufacturing

mizu: can be closed also

(closed)

Issue 135

Issue 135 - Improve references: Use Specref Database references where available for release 2.0

ml: updates for references based on SpecRef
… we can work on this offline
… all the assignees of the publication-2.0 issues should respond

ACTION: all the assignees to work on the publication-2.0 issues

ACTION: all owners of issues with label publication-2.0 to decide if they can contribute for end of year publication.

Issues marked as "publication-2.0"

PR 90

PR 90 - Industry 4.0 - Motivation for OPC UA Binding

branch version MD

sk: (goes through the PR)
… we already have node-wot as an implementation for WoT
… but still need clarification for Binding
… would like to see the connection among the devices
… OPC-UA has its own security model

kaz: great description
… was also expecting something like this when I asked you to provide a concrete use case during vF2F
… we can think about concrete binding based on this

ml: agree this is a great starting point

ack
… btw, there is a lot of stuff for Industrie 4.0
… so would add some more resources here

sk: can do that
… similar discussion with IoT in general
… my suggestion is being generic as much as possible

ml: For example, there is some generic information about what Industrie 4.0 is like

sk: would like to be independent from that...

ml: maybe some other resources can be referred to

kaz: several additional comments
… having "Industry 4.0" as the title of the use case is confusing
… maybe can say "Smart Manufacturing" which fits with the Industrie 4.0 concept
… also we should add our own considerations for the sections on security, privacy, accessibility, i18n and requirements sections
… in addition to the compatibility with OPC-UA

ml: agree
… maybe we can say "interworking" or something like that for the title
… let's continue the discussion

[adjourned]

Summary of action items
