Meeting minutes
Previous minutes
https://
Fady: talked about tutorials, PRs and how to handle groups
… objections?
--> none, minutes approved
Restructuring of webpage
Fady: outsiders do knot know what is a WG, CG, ..
Fady: Any update DP?
Daniel: no time yet
<Ege> https://
Fady: Broken links on IG website
Daniel: will take a look
Fady: w.r.t. navi bar..
… not sure what to put there instead of WG group etc
Philipp: "Standards" was proposed last week
<citrullin> "Ege: we should have a shorter menu bar. Maybe standardization, activities, contact, developers, more"
Fady: let's wait for DPs proposal
Daniel: will try to make a proposal soon
PRs
https://
Fady: Any objections to merge
Ege: Order of entry... where is it put
Fady: under "implementations"
Ege: LogiLAB from Siemens is another TDD
Sebastian: Can ask C. Glomb whether there is a link to it.. and the source
Fady: Suggest to merge PR#204 as is
… other PRs may follow
Issues
Still images of the explainer video
https://
Ege: I wanted to put bg image on twitter
… I need to use screenshot to do this
… do we have a non Youtube video?
… or still images
Sebastian: We did have a story board
… no individual figures
… will check
Daniel: w.r.t. other video source, see https://
Fady: should maybe have an "assets" folder
Kaz: do we need all resources from the video?
Fady: I think we should have a set of images/assets
Kaz: Not sure if/why we need to have all pictures
Ege: I think we should have those images from explainer video already
Sebastian: I found the storyboard
… will upload to GH
… is now in issue
Kaz: We should put it in a dedicated folder, add a description and link for it from the README.md (or the HTML page)
<kaz> e.g., wot-marketing/images area
Twitter Background Image
https://
Fady: 2 options are proposed
… choice #1 has some issues, different font colors
… maybe we have better options
Ege: We can use images from storyboard also
… proposal 24A
Fady: looks good to me
Philipp: I can take a picture of OLED showing something also
… will add sample to issue
WoT logo on repository READMEs
https://
Fady: Would like to see the logo
… most people liked right-aligned version most
… i like centered version more
… because other samples do it in the middle
Ege: argument was that center version takes too much space
… however, we do not use readme a lot.. so space is not a problem I think..
Fady: other repos center logo
Sebastian: the difference is that we do not provide software as the others
… I am okay with the last centered version from Cristiano
Philipp: +1
Daniel: twitter feed and SO badge needs to move up also
Fady: makes sense
… badges are not just about TD or Arch repo et cetera
Kaz: W3C usually do not put logo
… should check with Coralie
… on top readme?
Ege: Yes, top readme
Kaz: I think logo on all readmes seems overkill.. but we should check with Coralie
Fady: Who can check the policy?
Sebastian: Let's ping Coralie in the issue
Fady: Okay, did so
Update "About" section
https://
Fady: Solved, right?
--> close issue
Process/Tooling to Keep WoT Events Up to Date
https://
Fady: tooling to keep events up to date
Daniel: issue on main wiki also
Fady: I also have troubles to find the *next* meeting
… McCool is handling invitations
Kaz: 2 points
… 1. Who maintains calendar
… 2. How to update/import/snyc
… used to have feed import
Daniel: Kaz, can you share link?
Kaz: Using W3C API
<kaz> old WoT WG page
Sebastian: 2 comments
… we still don't have the number of visitors
… would be good to know how many people use "events" subpage
… is there a need
… my expectation is that there would a W3C tool to be used ... via calendar view
… Are there any plans ... in conjunction with the new webpage
Kaz: Should ping system team
Sebastian: I did that in the past and did not get any response
Fady: Wondering about next steps?
… who can maintain the calendar et cetera
Philipp: Note that the information on our meetings is available on the wiki pages
Fady: I am rather new to the group... maybe that's why I have difficulties
… for outsiders it is not easy to understand
Philipp: wiki is to get used to it
… w.r.t. external events we need a better solution
Kaz: Agree with Philipp
… from my viewpoint, we can simply add links from the WoT Welcome pages to the wiki pages about our meetings, at least as the starting point
… or do you want to have all the content on the GitHub side rather than the wiki pages?
<sebastian> sorry I need to go to next meeting
Fady: not everybody knows about the wiki
Kaz: As I already mentioned, we can simply add links from the WoT Welcome pages to the Wiki pages.
Fady: that's not elegant ...
Kaz: What do you mean by "Elegant" here?
... Anyway the WoT Use Cases call is starting now, so would suggest we discuss this issue next time instead of now.
