McCool: there are updates on the schedule we need to discuss later

Sebastian: chartering discussion, moving marketing to enable IG & CG to participate

Sebastian: review discussion about moving other activities into IG/CG

McCool: if it's not rec track, we should consider opening it up

Sebastian: any more comments, any objections to approve?
… no objections, good to publish

Sebastian: all the services recovered and the minutes from yesterday's meeting are regenerated.

Kaz: sorry about the inconvenience, and thanks a lot for your note, Ege.

Sebastian: can we please set up a website update and a twitter announcement?

Daniel: I just need the schedule

McCool: still waiting for more confirmations, but definitely have Takenaka, Netzo, and Echonet

McCool: we should announce the ones we have confirmed, including the schedule

Kaz: guests should contact the Chairs at <team-wot@w3.org>

McCool: how should we handle the invitation and avoid spam?

McCool: what about a form?
… the right way would be a contact form

Ege: will make a Google form to collect the email and notify back

Kaz: we could use a mailto: link

McCool: that might invite spam though

Daniel: we could put the link to the form on the web page and other places

Sebastian: ok, dape and ege will handle it

<Ege> https://twitter.com/W3C_WoT/status/1445736880679501829 just tweeted

WoT Japanese CG update

Mizushima: there are some contacts, I will give a detailed update on the 26th

open day guests, Netzo and Takenaka

Sebastian: Takenaka is in building management

testing calls

Sebastian: looking for a volunteer to lead the testing calls

Ege: I have volunteered to start after TPAC

TPAC schedule

Sebastian: review the wiki page

<sebastian> https://github.com/w3c/wot/tree/main/PRESENTATIONS/2021-10-online-f2f

Sebastian: had the first F2F meeting on discovery yesterday
… review tomorrow's agenda on TD and bindings

Sebastian: Monday open day presentation by Takenaka

McCool: most likely we will only have Takenaka on the 11th

Sebastian: Carsten says the 28th will be less rushed

McCool: the 11th seems too early for T2TRG, should go for the 28th

Sebastian: moving the content to the 28th on the schedule

Sebastian: second open day on Thursday with 3 presentations: Echonet, Spatial Data, and Netzo
… then a one week break
… 26th, 27th, 28th
… discussion on architecture and profiles

Sebastian: what about security?

McCool: we need to extend the 28th by one hour and add a 30 minute security update

Sebastian: can we have the security discussion on Monday

McCool: it would conflict with Open Day

Sebastian: we will shift some slots around and try to freeze the schedule ASAP
… review next week

McCool: SDW hasn't confirmed, but we could use the 14th

Kaz: Can we add the MiniApps discussion to the Use Case day?

McCool: we need to add break time to the agenda

<sebastian> https://www.w3.org/register/tpac2021virtual

Sebastian: any more items on TPAC?

Sebastian: also remember the AC

any news from ITU-T?

… will nail down soon

liaison meetings

… OPC-UA is planned for October 28th

charter discussions

Sebastian: passed IG charter to W3C management

Kaz: there is some feedback already
… 3 editorial points, mm will cover
… will follow up after the editorial updates

McCool: can do the editorial work by the charter meeting on the 28th

Sebastian: let's use the chairs call to review

McCool: the WG is a bigger job; there will be new topics and new deliverables
… collecting new topics for the discussion, additional profiles and bindings?

<sebastian> https://github.com/w3c/wot/issues/978

Sebastian: use this issue for the WG charter items

Smart Cities

Sebastian: official report is available

Kaz: update the draft charter based on this report
… please all respond to the doodle poll to set a meeting slot

Sebastian: is there a candidate to chair the Smart City group?

Kaz: there is one candidate, looking for another

testing needed for CR

Sebastian: we need test results for all of the specified features with implementation reports
… We have TD, also need Architecture, Profile, and Discovery

Lagally: Architecture will not have an implementation report of its own

McCool: Architecture report could be a summary report from the others, and there may be some assertions to implement in the Architecture spec.

McCool: TD still needs a little work
… need to update implementation descriptions
… need to create an issue to drive
… everything for Architecture should already be in the TD spec

Sebastian: what about Profiles and Discovery

McCool: Toumura-san has created a document for Discovery
… next we need to create a test suite
… nothing yet on Profiles, will definitely have assertions but may be all manual assertions

Lagally: need to discuss some details still on the next call

McCool: we need to ask if everything is already in the TD spec and what additional tests will be needed for device behavior

Sebastian: profile is a subset of TD with additional constraints so may be combine profile in TD

McCool: but can't assume the current tests will cover profiles

McCool: there are more rules that will need more tests
… also need to look at TM testing

Lagally: profile has additional behaviors like error reporting

McCool: what parts of the additional behaviors need TD tests?

Sebastian: time check

Kaz: we need to think about content across all of our documents, what goes in which in order to avoid possible confusion and overlap between specs and testing effort.

McCool: let's discuss in the editors call

Lagally: make sure we get everyone invited

Sebastian: any other business?

Ege: we do need testing for profiles, don't underestimate

Ege: need to get out invitations for TPAC

McCool: will do that now

McCool: testing call at 10 mins after the hour

Sebastian: adjourned and will keep the Webex open

<kaz> [main call adjourned; Plugfst/Test call in 5 mins]
