… hope we can sort it in the html spec!

richard: in my personal time I wrote this thing
… and I tweeted it and it got tons of love

richard: conjunct generator

<r12a> https://r12a.github.io/scripts/apps/vowel_signs/

richard: and consonent-vowel generator
… idea is that you use a preset or provide your own data
… gens a matrix that shows possible conjuncts
… can see what fonts support what

felix: (showing a PDF about a course syllabus: i18n and l10n topics, using a lot of material from the i18n activtiy and richard's tools. Students then may able to provide input to language matrix and the material can be re-used later)

RADAR Review

https://github.com/w3c/i18n-request/projects/1

Action: addison: reply to aria that we've completed our review

<trackbot> Created ACTION-1005 - Reply to aria that we've completed our review [on Addison Phillips - due 2021-03-18].

richard: (info share) PLH has started implementing something regarding horizontal review requests
… what he said was "no more emails to request reviews"

<xfq> https://www.w3.org/Guide/documentreview/#how_to_get_horizontal_review

richard: hopefully that will be good

a11y responses

felix: they basically said no to the additional persona and one from fuqiao

xfq: cognitive problems for some writing systems; they said they'd consider in 2nd edition

richard: one of the things is that PLH and the director find open issues

<fsasaki> response related to the persona: https://github.com/w3c/coga/issues/246#issuecomment-794015032

richard: if we say "okay" and close with "recycle" label, then it is no longer visible to the director
… if we left it open

<fsasaki> response related to layout: https://github.com/w3c/coga/issues/248#issuecomment-794008112

<fsasaki> +1 to adding a note about an additional persona

addison: "temporary disabilities"
… maybe a note

Action: richard: reply to coga issue with a proposed note addition to the text

<trackbot> Created ACTION-1006 - Reply to coga issue with a proposed note addition to the text [on Richard Ishida - due 2021-03-18].

richard: want to keep a sticker here

xfq: agree

first note then recyle (no close)

xfq: mine is only a tracker issue

richard: needs resolution?

<atsushi> +1

yes

Specdev changes

<r12a> https://w3c.github.io/bp-i18n-specdev/NEW.html

richard: been busy this week sorting specdev
… this is the revised version, ready to go
… checklist generator is at the top
… toc is 3 levels instead of 2
… lists of links to docs with lilac background were at section ends, moved up
… removed obsolete docs
… each "advisement" has its own set of "legs"
… click on gray "more" thing shows where you're going and what it is
… can have mulitple links
… making these links is really easy
… two types "more" and "explanations and examples"
… latter are mainly charmod, now takes to nearest sub section
… more stuff is additional links, like to bcp47 or an article about grapheme clusters
… needed to understand, just things useful for that comment

addison: cases with both?

richard: yes

addison: self-links give new tab?

richard: will disable

Action: richard: publish new specdev, incorporating existing PRs, fixings self-links, and update TR

<trackbot> Created ACTION-1007 - Publish new specdev, incorporating existing prs, fixings self-links, and update tr [on Richard Ishida - due 2021-03-18].

richard: next steps would be to turn this doc into "the checklist"
… as opposed to
