Agenda Review & Announcements

APA Rechartering Begins - https://www.w3.org/2018/08/apa-charter

Task Force Updates

Irfan: Need to meet with Paul, Mark, et al regarding the examples (as discussed last week).

Janina: Would be helpful to have a short video (e.g. TTS switching language; Math perhaps; pronouncing a complex string that would not normally be handled correctly) for TPAC.

Becky: Personalization: There have been Explainer updates and open tickets for internationalization are being reviewed. Working towards an updated publication before TPAC. Going to follow up wrt video.

Janina: RQTF: Publications in process. Updating working drafts in preparation for joint meetings at TPAC. New research going on in Synchronization (Wiki page lists objectives). Learning about tolerances with media in situations such as lipreading.

New Charters Review https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+lab

<MichaelC> https://w3c.github.io/audiobooks-wg-charter/

MichaelC: The group doesn't list us as liaisons.

Janina: No concerns, given the accessibility background of the people in the group.

MichaelC: *Notes that the charter says the group won't do significant developpment work*

<MichaelC> https://github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/issues/5386

MichaelC: 5386 is a new issue that was opened because a previous issue was closed.

<becky> https://github.com/w3c/css-a11y/issues/2

<becky> Propose CSS selector like *:role('heading') once we have Element.computedRole() in a draft #2

Becky: we await any further comments on this thread.

Actions Checkin (Specs) https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/track/actions/open

Matthew: Should we be expecting/have we been asked for another HTML review?

MichaelC: Nothing as of yet.
