Resolution: accept minutes of last meeting

Logistics

<plh> https://‌www.w3.org/‌Guide/‌meetings/‌continuity.html

plh: we published a continuity page - making people aware of it
… W3C has a slack instance - be aware

<Caroline> https://‌w3ccommunity.slack.com

plh: A few working groups are doing audio/video recordings. If the DXWG is interested, ask PLH for more info

riccardoAlbertoni: Having a recording would save us taking minutes?

plh: minutes are still needed
… unfortunately zoom doesn't provide a good-enough transcript for us thinking about replacing the scribe

annette_g: there are times when we end up discussing things we choose not to minute

plh: you can stop recording. Some working groups have been working with this for a year or 2 already, and seem to get along OK
… but sometimes groups need to be reminded to turn off the recording prior to discussing e.g. security stuff

ack: PWinstanley

I think we need to let more people know about this and to consider it more deeply before making a decision

Caroline: it needs an email to the group letting them know about it and soliciting feedback

Action: plh to write to group explaining what is available re: zoom recording and illustrating where it has been used successfuly

<trackbot> Created ACTION-407 - Write to group explaining what is available re: zoom recording and illustrating where it has been used successfuly [on Philippe Le Hégaret - due 2020-04-07].

website

<Caroline> https://‌www.w3.org/‌2019/‌did-wg/

Caroline: PWinstanley suggests that we consider using something like the did-wg site

<Zakim> plh, you wanted to explain how this thing works

<annette_g> I like it.

plh: this site is generated from an API - but some information e.g. minutes of meeting, are not available from the API and so they need to be added manually. The did-wg page source is on github

,,, the other advantage is that the WG can edit the page a little

Caroline: do we still use the wiki?

plh: it is not a full replacement, so yes

<plh> https://‌www.w3.org/‌2017/‌dxwg/‌wiki/‌Meetings

Caroline: are links to minutes added manually?

plh: add the link to the wiki compilation of the minutes to the github page skeleton

annette_g: it seems odd to maintain two different sites. having the minutes elsewhere seems odd

PWinstanley: I proposed this because I felt that we need to be more attractive

plh: we can try before we buy ... we don't need to commit to it without trying it out first

<plh> for an alternative, see https://‌www.w3.org/‌PM/‌Groups/?gid=99375

<annette_g> whoa, requires auth but gives content before login?

Action: PWinstanley to write suggesting alternative web page styles

<trackbot> Created ACTION-408 - Write suggesting alternative web page styles [on Peter Winstanley - due 2020-04-07].

DCAT3

Caroline: last week we had a good discussion about progress, together with ideas about engaging more types of people and how we might leverage the use cases to illustrate how DCAT2 might be used
… no actions were taken, but we need more thought about writing with examples of use suitable for diverse communities of users

riccardoAlbertoni: the DCAT editors have welcomed the idea of sprints after Easter.
… last year we met Wed at 20:00 UTC, but that is a difficult time for both Europe and Australia, so we need to see exactly who is going to commit to the calls so that we can work out the optimal time
… Do we keep the same time as last year, or do we change? 2y ago we used to meet at c10:00 UTC because there was no American involvement and this was more convenient for Australia

Caroline: decide amongst the editors, then let the group know what time you decide

<riccardoAlbertoni> ok

<riccardoAlbertoni> https://‌github.com/‌w3c/‌dxwg/‌pull/‌1224 and https://‌github.com/‌w3c/‌dxwg/‌pull/‌1229

riccardoAlbertoni: we have 2 PRs that need to be reviewed - mainly typos and small editorial changes . Just a reminder

Caroline: AOCB?

<riccardoAlbertoni> me not from me..

Caroline: let's adjourn a little early

Bye!!
