McCool: No objections?
... (No objections)

Virtual plugfest logistics

Helinki wiki

* Softether as VPN

<kaz> scribenick: mjk_

Suzuki: set up SoftEther VPN bridge mode and service mode
... used raspberry pi as a local VPN server on the device network
... tested bridging across the VPN and multicast communication
... conclusion is that the minimum requirements are met and we should do more testing in preparation for the virtual plugtest
... need to clarify our requirements

McCool: how do we join the VPN, and what about NAT?

Suzuki: there could be multiple interfaces or virtual NAT provided by the VPN but not tested yet

McCool: propose more testing and verify the NAT operation
... how can we set up a permanent relay

<inserted> scribenick: kaz

Koster: can host for a few months

McCool: can also do but the question is who to work on that
... e.g., using digital ocean

Koster: seems like worth doing for virtual f2f because WISHI workshop could also use that mechanism
... WISHI in April might be a good test case

McCool: why don't we look into what we can do?
... guess Suzuki-san is using Azure but am wondering if you could try digital ocean as well

Taki: not sure about digital ocean

McCool: from Intel side, using AWS instance would be easier
... SoftEther is a Linux package. right?

Taki: available on various platforms
... this time used the one on Raspberry PI

McCool: wondering if it's possible for you both, Suzuki-san and Koster, work together for initial documentation
... and I'll join you

Koster: sounds reasonable

McCool: want to have some standard mechanism
... for bunch of local devices
... we need a bridge for them

Koster: yeah, we need that
... maybe we can set up some as default

<inserted> scribenick: mjk_

Kaz: can check with W3C system team to see if they can help
... the policy is generally to ask members to provide the resources but will ask what they can do

McCool: mjk and tsuzuki get together and plan the work first

<tksuzuki> scribenick: tksuzuki

* Vitual pflgfest date and time

McCool: we should have doodle

Koster: we need discussions in the same room

McCool: Pick a couple of times for meeting
... we need a formal report after plugfest

node-wot

Koster: should be a separate community

McCool: we need volunteers

Ege: node-wot is double licensed

Kaz: we can create a new CG
... however, we need to clarify how to transfer our requirements and feedback to the Eclipse side
... also who should be the liaison contact?

<kaz> Ege: there is a subgroup named thingweb within Eclipse Foundation

<kaz> ... they hold their calls bi-weekly/monthly

<kaz> McCool: can I suggest we create a Doodle poll to see who from our side is interested in this liaison

<kaz> kaz: +1

edgeX

McCool: opensource framework good for WoT
