Agenda

Sebastian: would like to mention we're thinking about two possible guests for the future calls
... (goes through the agenda topics)
... anything else to be added?

(none)

Invited guests

Sebastian: we got an application for Invited Expert from Amelie Gyrard
... we're going to invite her to one of the WoT main calls
... probably in 2 weeks due to the online meeting next week
... she is a semantic expert
... also another guest from Bosch
... would invite him to the discovery discussion during the online meeting next week
... has been working on an Eclipse project

Review minutes

Mar-4 minutes

Sebastian: we had a guest from BSH
... my own report from conference
... Conexxus/EdgeX
... use cases discussion from Architecture
... press release update
... virtual f2f planning
... Helsinki meeting, TPAC meeting
... any problems?

(none)

Sebastian: approved and will be published

Singapore Govtech

Sebastian: new WebEx for the joint call
... at 9pm SIngapore
... mainly topics on node-wot
... the idea is we'll have a meeting next Thursday
... about node-wot tutorial
... special slot during the online meeting

McCool: Singapore meeting happens every Tuesday
... but we'll have our online meeting next week
... so the suggestion is having the node-wot discussion on Thursday next week

Daniel: Singapore call was originally planned as a bi-weekly call?

McCool: kind of
... these days happens weekly

Conexxus Retail/EdgeX

McCool: planning a PoC
... Intel retail is involved
... the plan is to integrate WoT with open retail initiative
... add WoT metadata to EdgeX
... also discuss retail use cases
... next week we'll allocate a session on Wednesday for further discussion

Sebastian: interesting and cool
... questions?

McCool: think EdgeX is quite similar to Mozilla's platform
... but focused on industry/retail purposes

REC transition

Sebastian: got a comment for the AC review
... suggestion for the use case section of wot-architecture
... Lagally is expected to handle it
... need to check with him

McCool: can send an email

Sebastian: also can talk about it during the architecture call
... Kaz is generating static HTML for publication

Architecture draft

TD draft

Sebastian: would suggest the TF leaders check the diffs during the next calls
... any comments?

(none)

Press release

Sebastian: we've generated a draft version

draft press release

Sebastian: but the diagram is not correctly displayed on Firefox...

Kaz: maybe we could use SVG instead of PNG?

McCool: Chrome might have problem with characters within SVG
... let me check

Sebastian: (goes through the draft press release)
... great to have a rich set of testimonials here
... please review this and raise an issue if there is any problem
... we'll discuss it during the Marketing call tomorrow

McCool: there is still missing quote within the main body
... will have discussion with W3M

Sebastian: ok

Kaz: regarding the issues, would be better to put "press release" label to the issues on the press release

Sebastian: good idea

Virtual F2F

Draft agenda for the virtual f2f

Sebastian: (goes through the draft agenda)
... Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
... DID, eCl@ss, Conexxus/EdgeX
... Koster, can you talk about CHIP and OpenDM?

Koster: yes

Sebastian: cool
... then topics on Marketing, Testing and Planning
... also Thursday
... idea on node-wot tutorial
... nice to have a session about how to use it
... would like to invite Jennifer from Singapore Govtech
... we've not assigned concrete slot yet, though
... need to ask Jennifer about her availability
... everybody is welcome
... questions?

Kaz: maybe would be better to make decision about the starting time for Thursday. at least as an initial suggestion

Sebastian: what about 1pm Europe (9pm Japan, 8am EDT)

Daniel: why don't we ask people about their interest/availability

McCool: my suggestion is same time as the other day as an initial plan

Kaz: can allocate a 4-day call at 20-24 JST (13-17 CET)

McCool: note that the possible slot is quite narrow

Sebastian: ok
... then go for the initial plan
... any other comments?

(none)

Kaz: BTW, regarding the node-wot tutorial, when I asked NHK guys about their availability, they mentioned they had some ideas/opinions/questions about nod-wot
... would it be ok if they raise an issue on GitHub or send it by email?

Daniel: definitely ok

McCool: yes

Helsinki f2f

Helsinki f2f wiki

McCool: still ongoing

f2f registration

McCool: but should think about the remote participation
... myself can't make the reservation for a while
... the situation should be going to more stable in June

Sebastian: yeah

Zoltan: note that conferences even later days have been cancelled

McCool: yeah, we should think about the possibility of virtual meeting

Kaz: there is a question about remote attendance within the registration site

McCool: if many people prefer remote participation, we should do it as a virtual meeting

Sebastian: I basically prefer a physical meeting, though

Koster: we collected good feedback during the OCF meeting last week
... note CHIP creates small groups for each topic
... we could make progress regardless of whether it's a physical meeting or not
... IETF107 was cancelled yesterday

(some discussion on travel policy within companies)

McCool: it's getting more and more difficult to have a physical meeting...
... the bottom line is that we should get prepared for a virtual meeting

Sebastian: make sure we should not make reservation yet
... at least until early April

Zoltan: think virtual meeting would be more promising

(some discussion about virtual meeting setting)

Kaz: let's make the decision in April
... please note that we got a non-Member applicant for the T2T workshop
... we should let Ari and Carsten about this

Koster: yeah

McCool: also we should ask them about possibility of virtual meeting for the T2TRG workshop

TPAC planning

Sebastian: TPAC planned in October
... after that, Siemens is willing to host a (physical) f2f meeting in Pune, India

... cross reference
... how to throw errors
... Daniel reviewed it
... fixed various points

... device lifecycle discussion
... need to do some prioritization for the scripting session next week

McCool: Security
... input on end-to-end security from Oliver
... issues and PRs
... also OAuth2 to be included again
... and DID things
... very important to control integrity
... DID's proof document by the CG
... trying to clarify how to use it
... Discovery
... not much happen due to the time change
... review the minutes and closed the call
... we should have better mechanism to share information on calls with the invited guests

... continue the discussion tomorrow
... Architecture

Kaz: media-related use cases

Sebastian: TD

... Koster or Ege was not there
... who to take care the ontology is a question
... to be discussed on Friday, 13th
