The future of the DPVCG

Bert: Next topic, about the future of the group. Axel and myself (Bert) will be occupied with other projects, so will have less time to chair this group. So we need to think about resources and actions regarding the group and the chair. Proposal from Axel and myself is for Harsh to take over.

Bert: There is no formal process for selecting a chair. If anyone objects, they can make it known.

Bert: Any objections to having Harsh as the chair? (No objections noted)

Bert: Will update the website accordingly.

Harsh: We can start the next set of actoins/work next year from Jan.

Bert: Should we start on a charter / plan or leave it for January?

harsh: We can start one on the mailing list and formalise it in Jan on the website or Wiki

Bert: Any ideas for resources?

Mark: Perhaps an advertising or announcement for inviting contributions / members

Mark: There are other W3C groups which we can liase / collaborate with

DPVCG taking over the SPECIAL vocabularies?

Bert: Next item, as SPECIAL project is ending, the vocabularies could be moved to the DPVCG, and continued to be worked

harsh: It makes sense since we used the SPECIAL base vocabulary for DPV

<Bert> SPECIAL vocabs

Issues

<Bert> issue-20?

<trackbot> issue-20: How to express sensity of data? -- raised

Bert: Discussing ISSUE-20 regarding sensitivity of data

Bud: an example that comes to mind is about location whether it is a single point or a time-series dataset. So it is context dependant on whether location is sensitive.

harsh: So I think we can turn this in to an Open Issue and have more discussions later

<Bert> issue-19?

<trackbot> issue-19: Do we need a generic mechanism to describe conditions, constraints and restrcitions to a specific processing or data category or can we re-use odrl's mechanism? -- raised

<Bert> issue-21?

<trackbot> issue-21: Ask for specific feedback on (un)ambiguity of the term descriptions -- raised

Bert: ISSUE-19 on use of ODRL for constraints

harsh: Last discussion on this was with Simon and Axel on using ODRL or SHACL

<Bert> issue-22?

<trackbot> issue-22: We ask for particular feedback on whether and how to extend the list/taxonomy of controllers and recipients in the current vocabulary. -- raised

<Bert> issue-23?

<trackbot> issue-23: Should we add more subclasses to communicationrecording (e.g. distinguishing chats, personalmessaging, videocommunication, telephony, etc.) and which ones? -- raised

<Bert> issue-24?

<trackbot> issue-24: Should we add more specific subclasses like countryofcitizenship, countryofresidence, countryofcurrentlocation to country and which ones? -- raised

<Bert> issue-25?

<trackbot> issue-25: Should we explicitly note that the the controller is always a recipient of the data, if not, do we need to make this explicit inth vocabulary, by declaring it? -- raised

<Bert> issue-26?

<trackbot> issue-26: Describe use-cases and examples showing how the vocabulary should be or can be used -- raised

<Bert> issue-27?

<trackbot> issue-27: Discuss accompanying primer document -- raised

For Primer authors, Invite on mailing list?
