Zakime, next item

JS: stock agenda. Nothing special.

Any specific items

JF: points out work happening in Sync Media Pub CG

And, just to give you an idea of the basic user experience, here are two slightly different proof of concept demos for the sample in our repository: - https://raw.githack.com/w3c/sync-media-pub/master/samples/single-document/index.html - https://raw.githack.com/w3c/sync-media-pub/feature/custom-read-aloud-player/samples/single-document/index.html

public-web-and-tv, public-audio-description,

JS: not sure if we need to take any action on that.

worth watching

Matthew: in the background reading and researching on accessible games, awaiting workshop latter this month
... trying to port an accessible game to HTML - not sure if can be done, but working on it

JS: sounds very interesting - if we can assist, let us know.

<Joshue108> Its great Matthew - very exciting.

Agenda Review & Announcements

CAPTCHA Update https://w3c.github.io/apa/captcha/

JS: some solid suggestions for what was promised (which sounded good) - hoping for actual text
... but we are now waiting for that content - deferred our CfC by one week - expect it smoe time next week instead
... Judy's concern vis-a-vis concerns from China have received positive feedback
... still doing fine-tuning and editorila red-line work]

MC: some technical glitches, but fixed now

TPAC 2019 https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/wiki/Meetings/TPAC_2019

JS: APA will be meeting Thurs/Fri (primarily), however osme of our meetings will be with other groups (ex> CSS, who are meeting on Mon/Tues)

Anticipating a 3-way meeting with CSS WG, ARIA WG, and us

Personalization TF will be looking to meet with Web Platforms as well

JF: I believe that Makoto is looking to host a dinner one night.

[discussion on travel plans and costs]

JS: anything else for TPAC? Collecting agenda item s this month, looking to finalize scheduling
... ideally we meet prior to meeting with other groups

Task Force Updates

JS: Anyone with anything specific?

Mentioned CAPTCHA - Research TF is looking at WebRTC

probably not with the spec, but rather user-agent issues

have some concerns over types of support we need

beginning to wonder if this is a common issue.

When we chatted with authentication, we had a similar issue - not with the spec but wiht the user-agents

JF: this kind of feels like the discussions we had with MAUR - both author issues and user-agents issues

JS: agree, sees commonalities there

JO: Just to say about the MAUR, it's a very useful format. Finds it to be useful for all stakeholders

So a +1 tgo the format

<Joshue108> JF: If we maybe follow this format, it can be used for different things/

JF: suggest that we use taht format for many issues at Research TF

JS: Irfan?

Irfan: nothing to report

Horizontal reviews https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3A%22Horizontal+review+requested%22

JS: Standing agenda - but there may not be anything there

MC: AG Charter...
... from APA perspective, any comments?

JS: anticipate a CfC soon regarding CAPTCHA, which may have some impact there in terms of implementation issues
... but not a commnet on the Chareter per-se

MC: There for all to reeview, however i don't think APA needs to review

JS: no disagreement

new on TR http://www.w3.org/TR/tr-status-drafts.html

MC: Have been holding WoT open for a few weeks
... other new is CSS Overscroll behavior

<MichaelC> CSS Overscroll Behavior Module Level 1

FPWD

MC: had a quick look, but struggling to understand what they are trying to do

scrolling boxes inside of scrolling boxes... if understood correctly

MC: think we should look at this for a11y - not sure of impact for some users

JS: we may have some focus concerns re: context
... put that on ian's list (i.e. is there an issue with knowing where you are and managing focus

)

Actions Checkin (Specs) https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/track/products/8

JS: have been reading the Web of Things thingy - think we are OK, as they contemplate a11y

I do have a concern - there are diagrams in the doc, but not sure if alt text/summary-details/longdesc is there or accurate

JO: volunteers to take a look at that

JS: Thanks, purely an editorial comment that the WG should accept
... however by reading, don't thin thee are any issues

JO: there *are* issues with WoT tha I'd like to flesh out

at the meeting, they coudln't even reach consesnsus of what a 'thing' is

thinking that JSON-LD may play here

JS: want to review this deeper today. or continue in Research TF?

JO: can we schedule if for a different call?
... did send out an over-view to the list. Start there

JS: any other Actions progress to report?

Other Business

trackbot, end meeting
