At Risk status (testing & definition)

1.4.11 definition of state. Seems fine.

ac: def is back. went away for a bit.

need to address the contrast of states in the understanding for 1.4.11

ac: working on many things.
... Understanding doc for Non-text content is huge.
... need some help with controls portion of Non-text. need examples.
... also need reviews.
... working on test process. based on presentation.
... may need create a survey with pictures for interrator reliability.

<alastairc> https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1bvukTWBNTuC0ABk40fH8i194B0Gmb-qoUZukE-W6_TU/edit?usp=sharing

ac: set up as multiple choice. what is the graphic that needs to be tested.
... seek agreement on what should be tested, etc.
... somewhat difficult to find sites and examples.
... reflow + zoom. need some work

close item 1

https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues?q=is%3Aissue+label%3A%22Implementation+Follow-up%22+is%3Aclosed+label%3ALVTF

Reflow & zoom - 3 items (467, 415, 414)

Non-Text Contrast - 6 items (628, 549, 522, 437, 436, 181)

Adapting Text - 4 items (576, 551, 469, 438)

<alastairc> I think #694 is done, there's a pull request linked to it.

Non-text contrast (Graphics Contrast):

https://www.w3.org/2017/11/14-ag-minutes.html#item05

https://www.w3.org/2017/10/05-lvtf-minutes.html#item02

jim will create a synopsis of items in issues and minutes

do we need more pictures for reflow & zoom

ac: need a new video for vertical test to show only horizontal scrolling

reflow & zoom

<alastairc> I think this might work: https://www.chenhuijing.com/zh-type/

https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Proposed_WCAG_2.1_SC_Techniques#Reflow_.281.4.10.29 (4 proposed in Understanding and 3 proposed failures)

<shawn> Shadi is coordinating Understanding work through EOWG :-)

ac: might be good to send over to EOWG. Eric Eggert for flexbox or grids

jim check with Eric

Adapting text

jim half way done with language/script

Non-Text Contrast - 6 items (628, 549, 522, 437, 436, 181)

Adapting text:

https://www.w3.org/2017/11/13-ag-minutes.html#item01

https://www.w3.org/2017/07/18-ag-minutes.html#item02

<laura> https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=is%3Aissue+label%3A%7Ecomment-text-spacing+label%3A%22Implementation+Follow-up%22+is%3Aclosed+label%3ALVTF+

<alastairc> Better vertical text demo: https://www.chenhuijing.com/demos/grids-vertical/ one of the images expands to create vertical scrolling, but the text fits ok.

laura: after jim internationalization piece added need LVTF review. Most implementation follow up deal with blocks of text - david mcdonald was going to head that up. but no examples yet
... had editors note about text outside block of text. but note gone now.

<laura> Note was: "Editors Note: The Working Group seeks examples in the wild of text content outside of blocks of text where it would be impossible to meet this SC. The SC's scope may be narrowed based upon implementation testing."

jim create wiki to show when we met the implementation stuff

https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/wiki/Accepted_WCAG_2.1_SC

<alastairc> Better method across sites: https://github.com/w3c/wcag21/issues/710#issuecomment-357478610

jim include a few pictures of language/scripts in internationalization paragraph

ac: use stylish with settings above.

trackbot, end meeting
