HTML5.1 2nd edition progress

<tink> scribe: chaals.

LW: CfC closes thursday, seems to be simple.

HTML 5.2 CfC

LW: CR CfC closes tomorrow. We should probably have included exit criteria...

CMN: Yeah, although I just assume we don't really change anything...

LW: Indeed, except the reference is to 5.2 instead of 5.1

CMN: so we should perhaps have done it, but I don't see a real problem here.
... let's add it to our notes about making transitions.

implementation report

LJW: This is assigned to Travis. We need about a week to get publication, and then we need the implementation report to get done...

CMN: Suggest 4 week CR. We have a pretty clear changelog, and HTML isn't an unknown quantity even if it is big

<scribe> ACTION: Léonie to update implementation draft report from updated changelog [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2017/07/25-html-minutes.html#action01]

Features at risk

LJW: haven't seen any movement here.
... at what point de we decide that some speculative 5.0 feature like dialog just won't happen?

<tink> https://github.com/w3c/html/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3A%22at+risk%22

CMN: when we decide that...

LJW: Suggest we put that one out to the group.
... for 5.3

Plugin API

LJW: So are we now ready to deprecate this?

TL: We want plugin API not to be included in new browsers, as well as getting removed from old browsers, so we should seriously think about doing this now.

CMN: Think given the lack of actual removal in browsers, I think we should point the way to this being likely to go, in 5.2, and in 5.3 pull it out...

TL: We could move stuff to obsolete but conforming, too...

<sangwhan> Somewhat related, I would like to put shared workers at risk as well.

LJW: Sounds like a plan...

CMN: works OK for me...

TL: So I should aim to have this done by August 7?

LJW: That sounds good.

<sangwhan> August 7 for nuking plug-in support?

LJW: We should look for someone else to manage the implementation report, like sangwhan
