<shawn> October 2016 Milestones https://github.com/w3c/wai-website-design/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+milestone%3A%22October+2016%22

James starts meeting, sharing GitHub in webex.

James: Have not heard back from Liam yet, moving Smart Search into October.
... Design
... James has not found any additional people yet.
... no one else has found anyone either.

Technical navigation generation

<shawn> Shawn: we're moving on it. Eric wrote up parameters. We found a bug. I expect he'll fix it next week when he's back from vacation. And hopefully we'll get that wrapped up next week.

Visual Design

James: Still looking for someone to pick up the visual design task. No one has found anyone yet.
... If you have visual designs that you are partial to, please send them to James.
... If you know designers, reach out to them to encourage them to help us out.

Collect Top Tasks

Charlotte: Gave feedback on survey last week. What state is the survey in?

Shawn: There was an email that Charlotte didn't see.

Charlotte: Provided feedback, is there anything else that is needed.
... Was not able to log into the survey to see how the selection dropdowns work in the survey.

Sharron: Did answer comments about the spacing. Also, they way that the survey works, we are a bit limited to the types of questions that we can use and how we can format them.
... Maybe we need to look more specifically at providing better instructions in the top part.
... Aslo look at the other question formats in the survey (from email) that Shawn set up as example.

Charlotte: Feel that people should give their own answers instead of answering for other people.

Shawn: issue with that is we would only get answers from Accessibility aware people, this could skew the results.

Charlotte: So how do we get the feedback from others.

Shawn: Consultants who work with companies that don't know much about accessibility. They will have knowledge of what types of questions are asked of them for Top tasks.

<Zakim> shawn, you wanted to note spacing

James: Can we also post this where more people will see it?

me/ didn't catch where James thought of posting.

Shawn: To address spacing, we can add a break <br> after each task to add that extra needed space.

James: We have covered all the items in the agenda. If you can find more help for the redesign and visual design, please ask them.
... Should we consider a different time for this meeting?

Shawn: Don't think Liam will be needed a lot for the meetings. Don't worry about changing the time for his sake.

James and Charlotte talked about some of the things that Liam is working on. Some has been passed to Charlotte. James is unsure how far he has come.

James: Thank you for the work. Meeting adjourned.

<shawn> Sharron & Charlotte will follow up on survey over lunch Friday. Shawn is jealous ;-)

Trackbot, end meeting.
