rich: some concerns about mappings

Joanie: Someone at Orca will fix error in mappings.
... If role subclasses landmark, the only way to expose in AT is as an object
... This should map to role_landmark

discussion of changes to superclasses

https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria/master/aria/dpub.html#substantive-changes-since-the-last-public-working-draft

Joanie: There are significant changes, but all errata
... This doesn't have such huge implications
... it's search and replace in the AAM
... on Mac, everything is still a group, assuming their mappings don't change

rich: concerned that no one will have time to review

Joanie: if it's role_panel, change it to role_section
... Is a cover always going to be an image?

Tzviya: yes, almost always

Joanie: recommend subclass img
... so on my platform it's img, so ROLE_IMAGE
... I would want to know the XML role, and expose the xml roles
... Why is it landmark?

Tzviya: pullquotes are specific case or decorative quotes that repeat content. This is irritating to AT user

Joanie: recommend mapping to presentation or none, not subclasses

Rich: Similar to SVG, this should not be mapped
... This should just be role = "presentation" or "none"

<Rich> https://svgwg.org/svg2-draft/struct.html#implicit-aria-semantics

<joanie> https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria/master/svg-aam/svg-aam.html

Tzviya: We will add note to pullquote in DPUB-ARIA that it will be dealt with in next draft and DPUB-AAM about not exposing it

Joanie: Add that ATs should ignore subclassing and link to ARIA role="presentation". Functionaly this is just like presentation

doc_pullquote is not mapped to anything

doc-cover is mapped to image

<scribe> ...pending discussion with Matt
