<scribe> Meeting: Web Payments IG Teleconference

DE: Welcome. We have 3 telecons before out F2F
... Any agenda changes?

Web Payments Working Group Charter Status

DE: Adrian on the call? No. next action is for Adrian took to do something....?

next steps

F2F Agenda Development - Sapporo

<jheuer> * We seem to have a problem with the telephones in the building I am in... Trying to solve this

DE: We have a rough agenda for the F2F out of the topics that we have
... 2 big topics - Plan Topics - the kinds of things thath eIG runs into on its own and then the Stakeholder thing are the things they run into

<collier-matthew> https://www.w3.org/Payments/IG/wiki/Main_Page/FTF_Oct2015

<collier-matthew> https://www.w3.org/Payments/IG/wiki/StakeholderPriorities

DE: Ian put up a page for strategic review - out direction is the IG that should set the strategy
... Please takea look at that and comment
... ISO, IoT, ? etc
... We need presentation materials or plan for them
... Manu do we think the verifiable attributes topic

MS: The basic thing is a presentation - each person is currently working on a presentation for TPAC.
... We would like to see if they can be ready-ish two weeks before TPAC. Is that the plan

DE: Yes, that is the plan. Tomorrow is to put togwther a straw agennda
... On 5th Oct we will all agree - but chnages coulsd still be made
... I am asking for a status for the presentations - if your name is on it - you need to have someone create the presnetation
... Once we agree on the 5th, 12th and 19th will review as necessary as part of those meetings
... We did not set a hard date. The more we get in by the 12th the better it will be

MS: The 12th is fine - but the sooner he better - they are about to set up a discussion at te TPAC.

DE: Our role is to ferret out topics that the IG and WG should persue
... Topics can go any number of ways

MS: How long for talks?

DE: Presentation should be roughly 20 minutes of presentation plus a possible 20 to 40 minutes of discussions
... We have requests for LIaison and observers to talk with us

KK: would nt it depend on the topic

<padler> +1 to making times a bit more topic specific..

DE: I agree with you
... Let us know if you have a topic that is more than 20 minutes to present

<dezell> katie: accessibility may be shorter - say 10 minutes.

<Zakim> manu, you wanted to mention that 60 minutes won't be a lot of time based on the number of people we'll have in the room.

MS: We are going to have way more people than we did NYC F2F, 45 is enough for 20% of the audinece.
... I think that is not enough time to do anything in depth
... Some are really meaty topic
... Maybe we end up dealing with these things after TPAC

DE: That is a good observation - maybe we get a doodle pole
... Lets see what we have on the list

MS: Verifiable Attributes

URL please

DE: You are suggesting the use cases and then the meaty part

MS: Pointing to Example use cases as a quick intro for each one of these topics

<manu> list of agenda items: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webpayments-ig/2015Sep/0131.html

VK: Yes we are ready we want to adapt it to the audeince
... We wnat the level to match the audience

DE: I think you saw the note on what we presented at out first F2F. Maybe look at the ISO 20012 for Dummies to add what was missing

VK: For Q&A how many people do you think would be attending?

DE: It is going to be more than 10. Probably 20 IG members and many observers

<VincentK> You can download an official copy from the ISO 20022 home page: http://www.iso20022.org/

VK: with that number it might have to be longer

DE: We can limit Q&A to IG
... We will skip over Wendys topic for the Security and Privacy. There is alot of differences for the W3C
... STakeholder Topics

<dezell> Katie:met with Chaals and Ricardo Garcia about previous presentations. ATM implementations are one angle.

<manu> Katie: I have had discussions with Chaals ATMs, NFC, again - accessibility purposes - little bit of information - talking about little things we have there - underbanked / unbanked - people with disabilities.

<dezell> ...: relation with unbanked and underbanked.

<manu> Katie: It's moving along - no presentation yet.

<manu> dezell: Sounds like you have some outreach into your community, but you feel it'll be done.

<manu> Katie: yeah, no problem.

DE: Merchnts and REtailer - I will be sending out and invite and taking a presentatoion and whitepaper and calling that a trial balloon and have some feedback
... It kind of have the capabilities and requirements
... Banks Arie - they have more of a stakeholder page than anybody does - a questionnaire adds a lot of credibility to what we do

<Zakim> manu, you wanted to ask about US Fed Faster Payments Task Force and W3C alignment.

MS: An overlap - Faster Payments Task Force that had a large Banking space - are we going to cover the Faster Payments in the bank discussion or elseshere
... The fed is going to release requirements for Faster Payments in a week or two - mthey really point out how important open standards are

DE: Good question. It is going to be a challenge to get a seperate line item other than banks. Maybe we can do a 5 to 10 minutes presentation. It has the potential to be disruptive
... Callme this afternoon

Erik: then we need to talk about Secure Payments too

DE: You are right. We will meet but I am sure we will get push back.
... Natasha has done out reach
... Automotive from a W3C perspective it is an excellent opp to speak with these folks

<manu> Katie: W3C NFC - so much going on there - are we not communicating with them at all?

<manu> dezell: We are not communicating with them much, but we should be.

DE: probably we should talk about it

DS: I have not reached out to the NFC folks. We should meet with them during TPAC.

DE: Can you get me a couple of names. NFC should be able to provide feedback into the Merchant stakeholders

DS: there many be other Stakeholdere groups as well
... The NFC WG disagreements

<nicktr> I can see Anders Rundgren is a member of the community group and he is also pretty active on the WPIG mailing list

<Zakim> manu, you wanted to ask about Web and TV folks - don't see them on the agenda either.

MS: A couple of other groups, Web/TV, Paymnest and TV, IoT
... how do washing machines order more soap - that is a set of requirments that we donet have in out Use case right now

+1

DE: Doug is there a background list of Un-Conference topics for Plenary Day?

<manu> Here's the list of breakout topics at TPAC: http://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2015/SessionIdeas

DS: there usually is, there are some that are planned t happen and others will come up

DE; NFC is a little harder

DS: I think putting forward the right topics - Web Payments has been the most interest by AC Reps that we have ever historically seen
... We should do it on Unconference day and will be able to have many folks attend
... We will also WP WG and we can put there

DE: TPAC has always been this way

<dezell> https://www.w3.org/Payments/IG/wiki/Main_Page/FTF_Oct2015#Flow_Notes

DE: I want people to consider the flow
... I would like folks to comment on this list
... Thursday is our next call
... We are very close to TPAC
