Approve Minutes of previous meetings

http://wiki.hl7.org/index.php?title=ITS_RDF_Concall_Minutes_20150414

RESOLUTION: April 14 minutes approved!

FHIR RDF and Validation/Translation Task Force

http://www.w3.org/2015/04/15-hcls-minutes.html

discussed ordering.

lloyd: also discussed codeable concept and codeing and code. Discussed the idea of them all sharing the same RDF structure to simplify reasoning.

<Rafael_Richards> [could you post the details of the Paris meeting?]

FHIR RDF Project Scope Statement (Claude Nanjo)

<Marc_Twagirumukiza> schema.org is broader and evolutive than foaf. BTW bo have the same co-founder (Dan Brickley)

<Marc_Twagirumukiza> +1 adding it there

(claude reviews draft PSS on gotomeeting)

<Rafael_Richards> http://www.fortherecordmag.com/archives/1013p10.shtml

rafael: Would be good to look at ICD-11 "linearization" that provides different granularities. Maybe leverage their work or vice versa.

<scribe> ACTION: Claude to send to Paul for approval by ITS group at this afternoon's meeting [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2015/04/21-hcls-minutes.html#action01]

<Rafael_Richards> SNOMED - ICD-11: common foundation ontology approach: http://www.imecchi.org/IMECCHI/Agenda/20111031_JMR.pdf

David makes motion to approve PSS; Claude seconds.

RESOLUTION: PSS approved!

<Rafael_Richards> commentary on direct use of ICD-11: http://motorcycleguy.blogspot.com/2012/02/on-icd-10-delay-icd-11-and-snomed-ct.html

Side-by-side example of two FHIR RDF approaches (Tony Mallia)

sorry, old link. here's the new one: http://wiki.hl7.org/images/1/19/FHIR_RDF_Sample_side_by_side_comparisons_v2.pdf

1 Datatypes (section 1.17.3.3)

Difference in the treatment of datatypes as cl

Difference in the treatment of datatypes as classes or rdf:Datatypes.

The anonymous instance is needed to attach extensions, so it will be put in.

2 Concept Reference external (section 1.17.3.3.5)

david: If you want to concatenate the coding.system and coding.code to form a valid URI like http://loinc.org/554411-4.ttl, then there must be conventions to ensure that a valid URI is generated.

lloyd: No concatenation. Inference would be used instead to look up the correct URI.

tony: No seeing good results with reasoners for dealing with blank nodes.

david: In going from FHIR XML to FHIR RDF, would enough info be known to determine the right URI <http://loinc.org/54411-4.ttl> ?

lloyd: Intention is that we'd define an ext in FHIR that would turn into an RDF type when you generate RDF, so that you can carry if it is not declared. If not declared it would be inferred from an ont that has knowledge of both FHIR and that terminology.

tony: The URI could be provided in a FHIR extension.

david: if a custom coding.system URI is used, how would the FHIR XML to RDF translator know what URI to generate for the class?

tony: If you don't know that custom ontology anyway, then the class URI would not matter.

paul: You might be able to specify a pattern: base + code

tony: The class URI would be option. If you don't know the coding.system then you would not have the class.

david: Need to distinguish between the minimum RDF that would be needed for round-tripping, versus additional RDF that may be inferred or calculated to support RDF applications.

tony: RDF version of the profile might be required to indicate the class URI <http://loinc.org/54411-4.ttl>.

<ericP> hi gang, i'm sorry i didn't make it in today

claude: Maybe the profile should define the pattern for generating the class name from the coding.system and code.

david: we should take this up tomorrow.

rafael: bioportal.org is interested in the quality of their SMART 1.0 and mappings to ICD-11.
... Chris Chute is bridging ICD-11 and SNOMED
... Interested in the quality of that for multi-vocab management

eric: What's the quality of the particular vocab? and how could is their infrastructure for expressing mappings?
