Lisbon Workshop

http://www.w3.org/2013/share-psi/workshop/lisbon/agenda

phila: We need to promote

Andre: We have lots of mailing lists etc.

Noel: We promoted the Open data day here and got 250 people

phila: Yes, I'll promote it through W3C as well

Need to ask ODI and OKFN

Consortium Agreement

PR: There was some confusion about the consortium agreement
... there has been some discussion about the terms
... we have integrated all comments and we think we have the final version
... I just wanted to give people a few days to look
... I don't really want to reopen the discussion
... ideally it needs to be signed by everyone before the review
... we need to show that we have the majority of signatures then it's a good start
... I don't want to walk into the review without that
... we have a contractual agreement with the EC and the other is with each other

johann: The last section of the agreement is the one that needs to be signed. Just signed and scanned is what's needed

Krems Workshop

phila: Do we need to think about Krems yet?

Johann: No, it's all announced and planned
... my worry is that it's only 2 months after Romania

Noel: What's the focus for Krems

Johann: The focus for CeDEM is open data, openness in general
... we already have some papers on that topic
... processes, formats, legal aspects
... Dates are 20 - 22 May
... we announced Share-PSI as 20-21 May
... We're more focussed towards public sector, but the topic in the agenda is fine
... People may be interested in how to get there. We'll arrange buses from Vienna airport
... there is a train to nearby too
... so it shouldn't be too hard
... lots of info on this on the conference website

So project meeting on 20th, workshop 21-22

Johann: I'm grateful that Lisbon is laying the way for the style

Review

phila: What have we done badly?

PR: We have 4 deliverables to provide, due end November: Periodic report, dissemination report, Best Practices doc and Timisoara CfP

PR: one of them is the Best practice document. That's something we have to prepare a message about

muriel: Do we have people to add on top of our own members in Lisbon?
... so we can show that we have addressed the weakness in Samos?
... If so then we can demonstrate that we have acted on that?
... the 2nd thing they're expecting is the standardisation work - but you have your case
... the first thing they will look at is the table of indicators

We need to look at the indicators

Makx: we need to demonstrate that this work in progress

phila: I had forgotten that table exists

Muriel: Outside the table of indicators you can discuss, everything outside the deliverables you can discuss

Makx: I agree with what Muriel said
... also what is interesting that the coordinator how the intended impact is going to be reached
... the PIs can be talked about in numbers, but what matters for a review is the influence the impact that the project is going to have

Noel: The impact on what?

Makx: The project has an impact section - we have to look at that and comment. That reminds the reviewers what we said we'd do
... that's an improtant contribution.
... It's good if projects give you info that is relevant. Is it going well? Is it going where it should? Reviewers shouldn't have to probe too much

Important to have a story with each Indicator, what we're going to do etc.

phila: Shows the agenda for the review

PR: The agenda implies that people need to prepare presentations before hand on a uSB

Timisoara

phila: I'm concerned that the topic is too narrow

Daniel: We'll have a hackathon the w/e before
... the ws is the Mon and Tue, the hackathon will be a Sat and Sun
... so we can have the open data movement there from Romania

phila: So can we build on the hackathon with sessions on what the developers want

Daniel: Share-PSI folks can participate in the hackathon, make presentations etc.
... we can make it more an event

Valentina: We can promote the session in Serbia
... and we have an event the week before
... 8-11 March and we'll promote the workshop before

Daniel: We also discussed with public authorities here on who can they mobilise to get to Timisoara to get to the workshop
... I'll do more of that, getting people from Bucharest

Makx: I was at the Europerana meeting last week talking to someone from Romania - he seemed interested in the event

Daniel: I know him so can contact him

Muriel: I'm coming back with my same ideas. In Lisbon we'll have Finodex distributing money to SMEs. The last call had >=1 proposal that should have gone through in Marta's unit
... to the pretty much the same thing
... they will prob have calls
... we can contact these people

Amanda: We have the incubator that Muriel is talking about so we can do that

Topic for Timisoara we have Identifying high value data sets, Something from the hackathon, and feedback loops

Peter: Log file analysis is important. Do we have any connection with Citdel on the Move project?
... they have mechanisms for turning data into mobile Apps
... that's a good example of micro level

Noel: Yes, we could do something around Citdel on the Move

peterw: I think it would be good as we keep talling about big sets, but small ones can be high value locally

Noel: That's something that we can present

peterw: That might be from a small spreadhseet through to a mobile app
... dealing with the data and getting something into the app store for visbility

Noel: That's what has happened in Ghent

Daniel: I'll talk to the open data foundation in Romania and come up with some ideas
