Logistics
Meeting Venue: Aug 7-8, 2013
Tank 18
1345 Howard St. San Francisco, CA.
We have rented out this venue for the Workshop, and will not be sharing it with any other patrons during our 2 days. It is very clean, comfortable, great brick walls and trusses, and is being set up appropriately for our business meeting needs. Greatly looking forward to seeing you!

Looking forward to a great event!
We have tried to make logistics as easy and headache-less as possible, especially for out-of-town travellers.
We recommend staying in SF also for local Bay Area folks, unless you want to fight the traffic!
Flying in?
Recommend to fly into SFO or OAK airports.
Do I need a car?
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) or cabs are available directly from the airport to bring you to your hotel, if you wish to not rent a car (save time/money!)
If you take BART:
- From SFO or OAK, take BART to San Francisco "Civic Center/UN Plaza" station.
- Exit the station to 8th street. You will be within 2-8 blocks walking distance from many hotels listed below.
Notes:
Hotel Recommendations
We recommend staying in one of the followiing SOMA hotels. Nice to moderate priced/clean:
- InterContinental San Francisco
- The Good Hotel
- The Carriage Inn
- Americas Best Value Inn and Suites - SOMA
Your Safety in SOMA (South of Market Area)
The area, in general, is safe.
You may see SF homeless people, but they are not necessarily criminals or thiefs. Nonetheless, as is the case in any city, be aware of your surroundings and wallet.
