<trackbot> Date: 27 November 2013

<AndyS> gavinc - I did the reply for ISSUE-172 (covers TTL and TriG).

Thanks AndyS

Sorry for seeming to vanish into the night

<AndyS> Separately, what's your opinion on the ECHAR issue?

Jury Duty + moving platform from hardware to Google Compute

This is " vs ' yes?

and my unclear guidance in N-Triples c14n?

and the missing \

<AndyS> Aside from the editorial on \ (that's fixed), I noticed the CR texts has ' in the ECHAR for NT and NQ. "abc\'def" is allowed even though ''-strings aren't

<AndyS> ''-string == single quoted string.

I think the following: N-Triples should allow \' to stay compatible with the escaping process in Turtle/TriG eg, \' are allowed in '' strings, and c14n N-Triples should continue to say (by accident) to escape them?

N-Triples c14n is already very much NOT Test Cases N-Triples

<AndyS> Works for me - no one seemed to care very much. I'll do go docs.

I have lost my link to the dbpedia limited Turtle format...

mmm

Guus: Votes from AC going well

ivan: 18 votes earlier today, all positive.

AndyS: Nice that votes are going to the comments list, but worried that commenter trying to ack replies on that mailing list may turn off the mailing list

ivan: Not sure why all the votes are going to the comments list
... but it is done

CR implementations

PROPOSED: The WG approves the test suites for TriG, N-Triples and N-Quads

<gkellogg> +1

AndyS: We have tests, gkellogg has set them up. Everything is working, we should move them to their official test locations

RESOLUTION: The WG approves the test suites for TriG, N-Triples and N-Quads

gkellogg: the tests will ALSO be in hg

Guus: Which W3C team person can place the tests in the official locations?

AndyS: Are we linking to a specific revision, or are we making a copy?

+1 to linking to a specific revision that's tagged

AndyS: Right now it links to dvcs on the default branch, we can point it to a specific revision

<AndyS> ACTION AndyS Mark tests approved and email the list.

<trackbot> Created ACTION-328 - Mark tests approved and email the list. [on Andy Seaborne - due 2013-12-04].

subtopic: Semantics Tests

Guus: Michael Schneider has nearly completed an implementation of the semantics tests

pfps: Sent out announcements, but haven't heard back from them, even acks.

ivan: Is there somewhere a pointer or description of which are the new tests that are relevant for this round?
... only looking at 1.1 tests, not 1.0

pfps: Things that haven't changed should just work.

ivan: Thinking of trying to contact rdflib folks if we know what tests we need to run

pfps: ran them with owl reasoner, but they didn't pass. Wasn't too much work to do
... not sure what we can do to get people to send in responses
... at this moment we have 0 results

ivan: that's not much

Guus: One promised
... Do we just build a reasoner?

pfps: I had hopped it was easy using something from oxford, but it wasn't

ivan: If someone has an old reasoner, what is the extra work that needs to be done to create a 1.1 reasoner?

pfps: forwarding one of the personal requests to the RDF-WG mailing list

<Guus> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-wg/2013Nov/0139.html

pfps: Will work a bit on some Oxford stuff to see if I can get it to produce test results

ericP: Euler passed all of OWL2, might pass the RDF Semantics tests

FabGandon: Olivier Corby says "passing the entailments"
... Asked him to send pfps an email

ivan: That may mean we are fine, if Michael's works too

pfps: So if I ping Olivier Corby Cory he should send me test results back?

CR comments

ericP: waiting on 5 from Dave Robillard

AndyS: I sent reply on @base @prefix
... comment 37 on turtle
... comment 6 on the other documents list

[edit] RDF Schema

Guus: Only real change might consider is the title of the document
... RDF 1.1 Vocabulary Description Language: RDF Schema
... would we be allowed to change the name?

<pfps> I vote for tradition :-)

ivan: I know we have changed the names for RDFa, but only a small change
... so no, I don't know if we can change the name

ericP: The objection to the change would be that we're hiding the document
... did we change to something that's not true, but we're saying we're changing to something that's more true

ivan: We will see, if the director objects we can change it back. Not a big deal.

Guus: taking action to propose a new time

RDF/XML

Guus: Change URI Refrence to IRI

<gkellogg> I believe "URI Reference" is replaced with just "IRI"

<AndyS> "RDF URI Reference" -> "IRI"

What's new in RDF

Guus: Who can check the document?

ACTION gcarothe add syntax sections to What's new in RDF 1.1

<trackbot> Created ACTION-329 - Add syntax sections to what's new in rdf 1.1 [on Gavin Carothers - due 2013-12-04].

Primer

Guus: In general we have a very informal example in the beinging. PatH doesn't like it. Thinking of ways of making more informal.

<yvesr> maybe the (new) diagram would help a little?

path: objection is that it seems to transition from natural language examples to IRI examples without anything in between

Guus: I can't seem to get rid of the term RDF Schema itself.
... schema is used in the outside world in many ambiguous ways

path: Maybe just call it RDFS?

Guus: Just call it RDFS, without explaining what the S is.
... schema.org, it's a vocabulary

<yvesr> in the primer now - there's no mention of Schema, without 'RDF ' or 'XML ' prefixing it

ivan: If we change the title of the RDF Schema document it should have language in the SOTD referring to the old name

Guus: Rest of primer discussion can happen via email
... hopefully next week we have a version that's nearer to consensus

Timing

Guus: As long as we have completed all our comments by the end of December if we extend for one or two months we'll likely get it.
... for things like the Primer and Notes.

<ivan> Well, the staff contacts would have to face angry looks:-)

Adjourned!

<Guus> trackbot, end meeting
