<Judy> scribe: Judy
js: Not yet. Haven't yet spoken with John.
jf: When are issues going to be surveyed by the WG?
jb: As Paul confirmed on the TF call, they will await our indication that we're ready to move forward on that.
jf: Notes that Maciej suggest
folding my comments into Laura's cp
... I responded that might not be necessary.
... Laura responded today that she would prefer not to.
jb: I will confirm with Laura that we don't need to do that.
<scribe> scribe: Janina
jb: Haven't seen any update from Steve or Janina
Janina Correct. Steve and I need to talk on this.
jb: Steve did acknowledge the feedback
janina: Will ping him
It is critical to note that supporting the accessibility of graphical images
always requires appropriate alternative content markup. In some cases, of
course, this means that images are marked "presentational," as with current
ARIA based markup, or with an alt null string, alt="", as from HTML 4. In no
instance can images without appropriate alternative markup be considered
accessible.
jb: Suggests suggesting the above to Steve.
janina: Lyn has provided use
cases.
... I will go to this, but need to finish the response to
Matt.
jf: Re improving table summary are we addressing discoverability and user interaction?
janina: We need to check that. Should do it as well as our longdesc cp
jf: Since html5 doesn't proscribe user agent behavior, we need to simply provide appropriate guidance elsewhere, perhaps from UAWG, PF.
janina: I will try and follow up with Josh directly.
jb: And Lyn?
janina: Will respond
jb: Perhaps a teleconference with you Lynn and Josh?
janina: Yes
jf: No time for it yet ...
... Still confusion around this,
... We had a draft this week from Opera that used css for
printing only
... Wondering if there's confusion among implementers of what
css should be used for?
[discussion on whether css generated should be voiced, or under what circumstances]
janina: Noting that PF is requesting a meet with CSS at TPAC. Could address this then.
janina: We closed this
janina: I need to bring back our Title reconsideration CP for approval on TF Thursday
