<klotz> ACTION: Kenneth Sklander to send to list suggestions for inputMode tests. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/09/23-forms-minutes.html#action01]

<trackbot> Created ACTION-567 - Sklander to send to list suggestions for inputMode tests. [on Kenneth Sklander - due 2009-09-30].

Kenneth do you have a standard mapping JSON<->XML?

<klotz> ACTION: Kenneth Sklander to send to list information about lossy-but-convenient JSON-to-XML transformation. [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2009/09/23-forms-minutes.html#action02]

I think 'the existing XForms is being modularized' is outdated

Ramifications of deprecating DOMActivate/DOMFocusIn/DOMFocusOut

<klotz> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-forms/2009Jul/att-0045/2009-07-29.html#topic5

<klotz> http://www.dojotoolkit.org/forum/dojo-core-dojo-0-9/dojo-core-support/dom-events-supported-dojo-documentation

http://www.w3.org/TR/2009/WD-DOM-Level-3-Events-20090908/#event-type-focus

from spec: An event target receives focus. The focus shall be given to the element before the dispatch of this event type. This event type shall be dispatched after the event type focus. This event type is deprecated in favor of the equivalent event type focusin.

(text of DOMFocusIn)

<klotz> Why apple is betting their business on HTML5: http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/09/09/19/why_apple_is_betting_on_html_5_a_web_history.html

I personally think the UI events should be defined in a separate UI spec, because the UI events won't occur on my data DOM, but they shouldn't be defined in HTML5, then I prefer DOM Level 3 events

DOM Level3 events should contain the mutation events

(focusin vs DOMFocusIn e-mail we also discussed in July)

<Steven> [user shifts focus] focusin (before first target element receives focus) focus (after first target element receives focus) DOMFocusIn (if supported) [user shifts focus] focusout (before first target element loses focus) focusin (before second target element receives focus) blur (after first target element loses focus) DOMFocusOut (if supported) focus (after second target element receives focus) DOMFocusIn (if supported)

<klotz> s/The relationship with XPath 2.0 Functions & Opertor is not clear, and it seems like there will be some trouble reusing existing implementation of this recommandation. That should be clarified. Please update the reference section : * XML Base has now a second edition since january 2009 * XHTML Modularisation has been updated to 1.1 since october 2008 * SOAP Version 1.2 has now a second edition since april 2007//
