Selected Papers
There were a high number of submissions, and only very few of them were
selected for presentation, as the event is focusing on discussion between the
participants.
More specifically, the three major criteria used by the program committee
were:
- if the paper is tied to a field project
- if the paper is coming from communities or ngo using mobile technologies
in their daily lives
- if the paper is an exploratory field research/an ethnographic studies
bringing specific information on how mobile ICT is used by people in
Developing Countries
There were lots of very relevant and interesting papers which were more
research oriented, or which were presenting interesting litterature review, or
which were presenting innovative ideas without field testing or which were at
early stages of exploration.
These papers, while essential for the community, have been accepted for
publication, but not for plenary presentation. The authors of these papers are
invited to prepare a poster for the event, and we will have specific time in
the agenda for participants to discuss with
authors of posters.
