SAZ: model of WCAG2 under discussion with regard with EARL
CR: tests are 'sufficient' not 'required' so not sure how this will impact on EARL
SAZ: there is a heirarchy with guideline, SC
and techniques/tests
... what about test case language needed in addition to EARL?
JK: relationships between test requirements and actual tests need to be described - EARL or something else
SAZ: at last FTF we decided that we wanted to
keep test description language seperate from EARL
... should not make EARL specific to WCAG2, must keep open
JK: EARL reports just say pass/fail, not a relationship between tests and guidelines
<shadi> Resolution: relationships between tests and success criteria are not to be modelled in EARL but in a test case description language
CI: key question is blanket statements - allow
or not?
... conformance claim is a result of blanket statements
SAZ: advantage is more compact EARL reports, disadvantage is less precision
CI: blanket statements are more useful, just level of detail that you need.
JK: is need of compact reports requirement of EARL?
CI: More detail is useful for some people, not all
SAZ: EARL is really for machines, not people (exchanging info between tools)
(discussion of how EARL used by project managers, web services etc.)
CI: people who work in validation need to specify entire domains and subdomains
<JohannesK> I think the only thing you can really do is something like http://*example.org/*
<JohannesK> or http://www.example.org/foo*
<JohannesK> some CMSes create URLs like http://www.example.org/?id=938658
