Introductions - New participants since last call.

Propose next call March 9, 2006, nominate a scribe

next meeting: March 9, 2006 (brian to scribe, if not em)

Introductions - New participants since last call.

JohnB: (i'm new) computer scientist from NIST, ... intro forthcomming

Banu: Pacific northwest national lab -

Kensaku_Kawoto: from Duke (working on HL7 ) - involved with clinical decision support, proj lead on Decision support project (standardize I/O for patient related work)

<cgi-irc> Joanne here

<cgi-irc> who else needed the IRC URL besides Tim Clark?

scott marshall: from university of amsterdam; new mutidisciplinary group from microarray dept; virtual laboratory research project - focus on knowledge capture in virtual laboratory

DonD: from brainstage research

review task template - http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-semweb-lifesci/2006Feb/att-0187/BioRDF_task_proposal_DRAFT_TEMPLATE.htm

tonya: took BioRDF proposal and put it in draft HCLSIG GRDDL task template; http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLSIGGRDDL
... try and take existing proposals and reflect this work into a series of tasks
... wondering if this task-oriented template makes sense ; makes clear on tasks

John Madden: i like this a lot

scribe: we have an objective (but no deliverables)

timc: i support template; i think its good
... as it will help focus on the work

roger: i think the template is fine - from the cutting and pasting from the group i don't think you got this all correct (but i understand this wasnt the specific goal of the excersice)

JohnMad, in the GRDDL case, i like the idea of telling stories; i encourage this to be included in others

scribe: dont suggest making the use cases to formal

<cgi-irc> q

<cgi-irc> how do i add myself to the queue?

<JohnMad> type "q+"

another example - http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLSIGDataWrappers

<cgi-irc> i type q+ and it tells me that the speaker is on the queue

joanne: support the template; vote for specificity

<cgi-irc> how do i change my identity

<scribe> ACTION: timc, to rearticulate proposal in terms of tasks [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/02/23-hcls-minutes.html#action01]

<JohnMad> Joanne, try "zakim, cgi-irc is Joanne"

<scribe> ACTION: susie, to rearticular bioRDF proposal in terms of taslks [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/02/23-hcls-minutes.html#action02]

<cgi-irc> whoami

<scribe> ACTION: alanr to create task-oriented template and send instructions to the list [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2006/02/23-hcls-minutes.html#action03]

<alanr> a+

<cgi-irc> cgi-irc is Joanne

<Joanne> Yea!

<Joanne> thanks!

<Helen> how about the resource repository where all rdf/ontology files can be stored?

<Roger> I agree: "Just do it".

<tonya> I agree too!

helen: where is the resource repository for this group?

<Joanne> Re: em wiki comments, I don't like the wiki interface we're using

<Roger> There is a W3C listserver address used for file storage.

<Roger> That is, you can send an email to an address with an attachment and that email and attachment goes into an archive.

<Ken> Are there business case and scope statements?

<Joanne> ken, do you are there biz case and scope in the tempates?

<Ken> yes

<Joanne> to ken, not yet :-) I mentioned the scope and interface defs, but not the biz case. good call. These should all fit into a single vision that we all share

roger, just pointing out, we may be talking past each other (structured v unstructured dabate on list) - want all to remember this

Does the Unstructured to Structured Data proposal still stand? Who are the key participants in this proposal?

tonya: there was a prpopsal at the F2F about this issue; but its unclear the status of this work

<Roger> I think we should discuss the "straw man" proposal from T Clark.

<Roger> Because I think it brings some really good clarity.

susie: i sent an email to MattC ; discussions are still underway in this area

JohnMad: agree with Roger

<Davide> susie who's MattC? I would like to help in that group

<Zakim> em, you wanted to suggest a 'just do it! philosphy' for the time being

roger: just want to point out that TimC's email is a good one to review

<Joanne> Joanne agrees focus on task nuts and bolts, not what they are called.

<Davide> Eric, who's MattC? I can and want help in that group (text to RDF)

tonya: suggest to review this for nex telecon; goal of which between now and then would be to articulate tasks in terms of task forces

<Ken> This project appears very interesting -- will be away during next call but will try to make following call.

Davide, matt@biomedcentral.com - Matthew Cockerill

<Davide> thanks
