Korean Task Force in BPWG

Charter

The following charter was agreed during the BPWG call of 27 March 2008.

Goal

The goal of the Korean Task Force is to deliver the Korean input for current ongoing MWBP documents in order to avoid the fragmentation of MWBP standards. For this goal, Task Force will produce the documents of the gap analysis between W3C MWBP and Korean industry from Mobile Web 2.0 forum, and makes the proposal for new work items.

Scope

The Korean Task Force will:

be governed by the agreements set forth in the BPWG regarding Task Forces
define the problem statement and requirements relating to the scope of its work
develop the gap analysis document to the W3C MWBP documents from the view point of Korean perspective to make sure the relevant standards in worldwide
identify and propose the new work items for future of W3C MWBP to support more advanced environment in various mobile web 2.0 perspectives not covered by MWBP documents
provide the report of mobileOK trial service project in Korea

Most of the Task Force work will be done by Mobile Web 2.0 forum, Korea.

Requirements for new standards item toward the mobile web 2.0
Report of mobileOK trial service in Korea

Report

The Task Force leader should report the Task Force activities and/or meeting results to the MWBP working group periodically, but if there is no issue on the Task Force the report may be omitted.

Oct. 2008 - Status of mobileOK trial service in Korea.
Oct. 2008 - 1st Draft of Gap analysis to the W3C MWBP.
Dec. 2008 - Gap analysis to the W3C MWBP.
Dec. 2008 - Requirements for new standards item toward the mobile web 2.0.
Jan. 2009 - Report of mobileOK trial service in Korea.

Teleconferences

The Task Force's meetings are held every two weeks.

The meetings are opened to everyone in Mobile Web 2.0 forum.

Note that most meetings are in Korean, and local to Korea.
