[Bug 8669] New: Ability to wrap a command around a larger group of elements

http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=8669

Summary: Ability to wrap a command around a larger group of
                    elements
           Product: HTML WG
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
               URL: http://www.w3.org/TR/html5/interactive-
                    elements.html#the-command
        OS/Version: Windows NT
            Status: NEW
          Keywords: a11y
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: HTML5 spec bugs
        AssignedTo: dave.null@w3.org
        ReportedBy: gez.lemon@gmail.com
         QAContact: public-html-bugzilla@w3.org
                CC: ian@hixie.ch, mike@w3.org, public-html@w3.org, public-
                    html-a11y@w3.org

The content model is empty. It would be very useful to be able to wrap a
command around a larger group of elements. The Hotmail inbox is a great
example of this. Each message has an icon, a subject, a from field, some time
stamps, and a line of text from the message. The whole thing is clickable, and
multi-selectable.
