To facilitate focused discussion in Web Platform specifications, to gather comments and questions in Chinese about those specifications, to collect information about specific use cases in Chinese speaking region for technologies defined in those specifications, and to report the results of its activities as a group back to the relevant W3C Working Groups, as well as to the W3C membership and community.

Call for Participation in Web Platform Chinese Community Group

The Web Platform Chinese Community Group has been launched:


To facilitate focused discussion in Web Platform specifications, to gather comments and questions in Chinese about those specifications, to collect information about specific use cases in Chinese speaking region for technologies defined in those specifications, and to report the results of its activities as a group back to the relevant W3C Working Groups, as well as to the W3C membership and community.


In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account. Please note, however, that W3C Membership is not required to join a Community Group.

This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2017-02-22 by Xiaoqian Wu. The following people supported its creation: Xiaoqian Wu, Hui Jing Chen, Jinks Zhao, Mohamed ZERGAOUI, Tomislav Novak, Fuqiao Xue. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.

The group must now choose a chair. Read more about how to get started in a new group and good practice for running a group.
