Web Certificate API Community Group

The goal of Web Certificate API Community Group is to provide a JavaScript API for certificate related operations in web applications, such as retrieving a list of certificates, obtaining a public key and a private key associated with a certificate.

Call for Participation in Web Certificate API Community Group

The Web Certificate API Community Group has been launched:

The goal of Web Certificate API Community Group is to provide a JavaScript API for certificate related operations in web applications, such as retrieving a list of certificates, obtaining a public key and a private key associated with a certificate.

In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account. Please note, however, that W3C Membership is not required to join a Community Group.

This is a community initiative. This group was originally proposed on 2019-08-29 by WonSuk Lee. The following people supported its creation: WonSuk Lee, jiwoong yoo, Hyungwook Lee, Kangchan Lee, Seong-Won Lee, Changwan Hong, Jincheol Jo, Hyojin Song. W3C’s hosting of this group does not imply endorsement of the activities.

The group must now choose a chair. Read more about how to get started in a new group and good practice for running a group.
