The W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) held a full day Web Accessibility Best Practices Training on 5 July 2005 in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of the WAI-TIES Project (WAI - Training, Implementation, Education, Support). This training was hosted by Programa Acesso da UMIC (ACESSO - Program of the Knowledge Society Agency in the Ministry of Science, Technology & High Education).
The Web accessibility training covered the following topics:
While participation was open to anyone interested in Web development, the event was specifically designed for experienced Web developers with basic knowledge of Web accessibility and little or no experience in Web accessibility evaluation. We especially encouraged participation from representatives of governmental or non-profit organizations and from different regions and languages in Europe.

The recommended method for getting from the Airport to the Hotel is by taking a taxi. The ride is about 10 minutes and costs around 10 €. Optionally, one can also purchase taxi vouchers (for 2 zones) at the airport with the following fixed fares:
Upon a 3-day advance notice, CARRIS (public transportation company) is offering accessible taxi service for 1,20 € from the Airport to the Hotel. Please call +351213613141 to book a ride.
There are two underground stations near the Hotel; "Sete Rios" and "Cidade Universitária". There is also a network of buses with several stations near the Hotel.
