Description

W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) held a 2-day Web Accessibility Best Practices Exchange Training on 9-10 February 2004 in Madrid, Spain, as part of the WAI-TIES Project (Training, Implementation, Education, Support). The training was hosted by Fundosa Teleservicios, and preceded the Mundo Internet 2004 conference.

The two-day Web accessibility training covered:

English was the primary language of the event. Spanish interpretation of spoken presentations was also provided. Materials (projected “slides” and handouts) were in English.

Participation

Participation was open to anyone interested in Web development. The event was specifically focused for:

The training was primarily focused for people who are fairly new to Web accessibility. While most of the topics were covered at a beginner level, Web accessibility experts were welcome to attend.

Participants could attend either only Monday (9 February), or both Monday and Tuesday (9 and 10 February). Participating on Monday was a requirement to also participate on Tuesday.

Program

Program will start promptly at 9:30. We will maintain the schedule below as feasible; however, some times might shift up to 15 minutes to accomodate participant questions and other adjustments.
