I looked at the latest changes [1]. LGTM with one possible nit: Do we want to say "window"? When the separator is a widget, it's a splitter. What is being split may or may not be a window, however.
(Apologies for just now thinking about this, as "window" was in the original proposal too. Also, I don't feel strongly about this; I happened to notice it and am asking.)
