Subject: Discrepancy in profiles?
Hi all,
I've been working on embedding TTML in Mallard documents to provide
subtitles for videos. See, for example, here:
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-games/tree/gnotravex/help/C/usage.page
While working on profiles, I noticed these two specifications of the
dfxp-presentation profile are different:
http://www.w3.org/TR/ttaf1-dfxp/#profile-dfxp-presentation
http://www.w3.org/ns/ttml/profile/dfxp-presentation
The standalone file requires 15 features not required by the profile
in the recommendation. The standalone file also uses a base attribute,
which I think ought to be xml:base. There's similar problems for the
dfxp-transformation profile, though dfxp-full looks OK.

Related notes:
Resolved to log against TTML 1.1 in TTWG Feb 7, 2013.
Monica Martin, 7 Feb 2013, 15:35:19This should be fixed when SE is published, not wait until TTML.next.
Glenn Adams, 12 May 2013, 21:27:48no spec text change is required; after TTML10SE is published, the standalone profile docs, located under http://www.w3.org/ns/ttml/profile/, should be updated

Philippe Le Hégaret, 24 Oct 2013, 15:19:56The diffs between TTML1SE and the standalone doc [1] are:
[1] http://www.w3.org/ns/ttml/profile/dfxp-presentation
Line 2: TTML1SE has "this file defines the "dfxp-presentation" profile of ttml" where standalone has "this file defines the "presentation" profile of ttaf1-dfxp"
TTML1SE uses "xml:base: where standalone has "base" in <features> and <extensions>
TTML1SE has the following features as optional where standalone has it as mandatory:
#color
#display-block
#display-inline
#extent
#fontSize-isomorphic
#fontStyle-italic
#fontWeight-bold
#length-cell
#length-pixel
#length-positive
#styling-inheritance-content
#styling-inline
#textAlign-absolute
#visibility-block
#visibility-inline
TTML1SE adds the following optional features that are not in the standalone doc:
#clockMode-gps
#clockMode-local
#clockMode-utc
#dropMode-dropNTSC
#dropMode-dropPAL
#dropMode-nonDrop
#dropMode
#extent-region
#extent-root
#fontSize-anamorphic [replaced fontSize-anisomorphic in standalone doc presumably]
#fontStyle-italic
#fontStyle-oblique
#length-integer
#lineBreak-uax14
#markerMode-continuous
#markerMode-discontinuous
#overflow-visible
#textOutline-blurred
#textOutline-unblurred
Standalone has the following optional features that are not defined in TTML1SE:
#dynamicFlow
#dynamicFlow-block
#dynamicFlow-character
#dynamicFlow-glyph
#dynamicFlow-in
#dynamicFlow-inline
#dynamicFlow-inter
#dynamicFlow-intra
#dynamicFlow-jump
#dynamicFlow-line
#dynamicFlow-out
