New Issue Triage
spectranaut: aria #1777, editorial.
<Github> https://
spectranaut: is a good first issue?
ari: I'll give it a try
spectranaut: milestone 1.4.
jnurthen: can always go into 1.3 is it's ready
New PR Triage
spectranaut: aria#1779 from scotto
… I'll add myself - anyone else?
jnurthen: me, too.
jnurthen: does this need UA changes?
scotto: not this one.
pkra: me, too
spectranaut: aria#1778 from scotto
… yay!
… whitespace
scotto: this need careful review. please add jcraig, he edited some of this
… make sure that everything that's intended as MUST NOT is still there
… I think this covers everything but as mentioned in the PR also does whitespace as they'd have interacted
cyns: add me or aaron
scotto: whitespace is just linking to ascii whitespace of WHATWG
… spoke to jnurthen. CSS is the alternative which is mostly the same but somehow there's 2.
… so this seems good.
jnurthen: CSS and HTML kind of the same. one has linefeed broken out differently because some are not valid in attributes.
… interesting that neither definition includes unicode whitespace. it's probably reasonable but i18n might not be super happy eventually
scotto: and we can send them along to the other specs to change in one place
spectranaut: core-aam#135 whitespace.
… from scotto.
scotto is on a roll, shaming us all ;-)
jnurthen: add jcraig, james teh
spectranaut: accname#165 whitespace from scotto
scotto: just linking the word
spectranaut: assigning reviewers.
Deep Dive planning
jnurthen: nothing scheduled next week.
… then for Sept 1 we have one
spectranaut: popups?
jnurthen: think so
scotto: I will try to get the doc with aaron converted to a discussion thread on the tracker.
… hopefully we can thread responses
spectranaut: and then TPAC, too
TPAC: break out sessions , agenda agendabot]
spectranaut: you can suggest breakout session ideas
… then there's the agenda
jnurthen: some a11y session already proposed
spectranaut: ARIA agenda for TPAC
… scheduled thursday & friday
… [see URLs]
… do people in different timezones have strong preferences so we can schedule them at reasonable times?
jnurthen: everyone on the WG should be able to edit this
spectranaut: let's go through topics
… decorative image.
jnurthen: joint with APA, could be Tue, Thu, or Fri
spectranaut: topic name prohibitied
jnurthen: you can register and state that you request a free waiver.
… there's nothing extra for a waiver
<MichaelC> w3t-tpregister@w3.org
mcooper: that's right, no questions asked. Just contact w3t-tpregister@w3.org and they'll arrange it.
jnurthen: please consider registering; but WG members can attend our meetings as usual.
spectranaut: review of remaining topics
… if you have other suggestions and/or scheduling preferences, please let us know
jnurthen: add them to the wiki or flag issues with label "F2F-candidate" (add to repos where it doesn't exist yet)
… ping us chairs.
"Whitespace characters" underspecified
