Chris: technique for pointer cancellation

Logistics

Kathy: this is the status – right now we've completed all of the success criteria except for Status Changes
... it was the understanding document
... if you see your name assigned to something make sure it's right

Jake: new technique for reflow I don't see this

Kathy: that's low vision
... flex box model change for meaningful sequence under orientations

Jake: that has a lot of overlap

Kathy: I'd have to go back and see what the low-vision has to see overlap
... Looking back at the link – that has everybody's
... added Jake's name
... with the exception of status changes, understanding documents are done and are currently being reviewed by the working group. Once that's done there may be changes that need to be made and we can go from there and make those changes.
... there were a couple of things that came up in the presentation we gave at CSUN – some examples were geared toward applications rather than websites. We need to go back and check the understanding documents to make sure all the information there is not specific to application.

<Kathy> https://github.com/w3c/wcag21#editing-techniques

Kathy: on this page, Instructions and information you can see that there's instructions and templates under current work. There's a techniques template – you can put this in the wiki. You can also put it directly into github
... the techniques is where we need to spend time writing the actual techniques. If you can go into these and look at the list and put your name on the ones that you feel comfortable doing, or make sure when you started that your name is on it – this is the way we will keep track of who is doing it.
... for example reflow has Jake's name on it
... if you don't feel comfortable taking and writing a technique the other thing we need to do is review techniques that are completed. If you see one that is completed you can go in here pull up the document, review it and then mark in here as well that you reviewed it and put the date that you reviewed it

<marcjohlic> yep

Kathy: if you are writing a technique and you need help you can use this to write your status and document where you need help or what was not done. So if you've partially completed something and taken it as far as you can do it and need help with writing a developer technique or something like that – or if there's something missing, you can also put that it's in progress and writing that you need help. So then anyone that is looking and has time to work o[CUT]

Techniques

<chriscm> https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/mobile-a11y-tf/wiki/Pointer_Cancellation_Technique

Kathy: should 3D touch or long press be in there or should it be taken out? Some of them got deferred to 2.2 or silver
... I'll edit that understanding document now, anything else like this?

<chriscm> https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/mobile-a11y-tf/wiki/Main_Page

Chris: added Pointer Cancellation technique to wiki understanding and techniques proposals

better logistics – put new techniques links right in the schedule page (scroll past the chart to the list) https://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/mobile-a11y-tf/wiki/WCAG_2.1_Understanding_and_Techniques_Development

There's also a link thereto the technics template
