faqs and updates on media and user stories

Copy editing - a big thank you to everyone for drafting, reviewing of SCs and the copywriting team - Jan, Jim, John Rochford and Thadeus were super busy and effective.

Identifying new user needs (table) is still something that should be done.

Needs: Support for personalization etc. need to be identified and fits in with our roadmap.

Phase 2 - user needs - should we be looking at emotional disabilities.

<trackbot> Created ACTION-190 - Draft phase to proposal [on Lisa Seeman - due 2016-12-12].

Probably will need to review things that are not fully accepted in Phase 1 - for potential inclusion in Phase 2

1) SUpportive material (e.g. FAQ) - 2) making semantics easier - ned to be worked on.

<Lisa_Seeman> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/wiki/COGA-FAQ

Mike suggests that when we have similar success criteria that differ in their scope we could amend the titles to put the key scope differences in brackets at the end of the title

<Jan> +1 to mention something about situational cognitive disabilities under stressful situations, etc.

Agree to sending the FAQ to WCAG now, and clarify that it is a work in progress.

<Jan> +1 to submitting FAQs to WCAG because it's going to be a work in progress

FAQs useful to point people to if they ask a typical question that we have already addressed.

A series of videos about user needs as a possibility to introduce in January (via Neil and the education outreach group0. Maybe also BBC videos and ask the team if they want to make more.

<Lisa_Seeman> https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2016/nov/11/autism-in-the-workplace-an-opportunity-not-a-drawback

<Lisa_Seeman> Anna forest

John Kirkwood "People in NYC who might be interested" - will reach out to them

Test criteria - APIs and personalization semantics that should make things easier

<Lisa_Seeman> https://w3c.github.io/personalization-semantics/

<Lisa_Seeman> https://rawgit.com/w3c/coga/master/gap-analysis/table.html

<Lisa_Seeman> need: prersonlization settings

User need tables have specified all the things we need from the user needs perspective but need personalization settings standardised

Also need implementation - important for W3C process

<Lisa_Seeman> specifcations at a working draft

<Lisa_Seeman> implations

An interesting VR experience of sensory overload for an autistic chid at: http://www.autism.org.uk/get-involved/tmi/virtual.aspx (not ICT specific - put powerful)

<Lisa_Seeman> https://github.com/ayelet-seeman/coga.personalisation

Browser extension - script project already made - but not in line with what we have now - might be a candidate for an extension

<Lisa_Seeman> implention as an extention, or websites using

<EA> So sorry keep losing connection will use minutes to keep up.

Getting something like this actually used would greatly increase the traction in getting things accepted. Does this need a separate sub-group.

John Rochford - A demonstration of an online course related to people with intellectual disabilities - could incorporate the personalization stuff into the course activity.

John Rochford and John Kirkwood interested in trying to get things developed.

what other pieces do we need

<Lisa_Seeman> https://rawgit.com/w3c/coga/master/gap-analysis/table.html

Could do with implementation on the Interruptions Matrix and the Log into breadcrumbs

Jan needs to look at the COGA personalisation work to see how it fits in with what she is doing - looking towards possible implementation.

Browser and operating system guidance could be something that is needed.

Conformance testing - what should it look like is something else that might be needed.

Although W3C doesn't implement - we need to be describe things that are implementable.

<Lisa_Seeman> https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/cognitive-a11y-tf/wiki/Open_Issues

<Lisa_Seeman> ACTION: Lisa to tiedy up issue page [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2016/12/05-coga-minutes.html#action04]

Need to improve existing metadata issue paper

<Lisa_Seeman> +1

<janina> +1

<Jim_S> +1

+1

<Jan> +1
