ISSUE-62: Align SSN with O&M

Align SSN with O&M
- State:
- CLOSED
- Product:
- Semantic Sensor Network Ontology
- Raised by:
- Simon Cox
- Opened on:
- 2016-05-17
- Description:
- The O&M conceptualization has some subtle differences to SSN, particularly in the understanding of what an 'Observation' is.
In SSN it was an information object.
In O&M it was an activity or event.
This has been teased apart in a couple of places, with PROV-O alignment proving to be a useful framework (see Compton et al. and Cox).
om-lite is an attempt at a clean OWL implementation of O&M and the patterns there could provide a basis for an Observation module in SSN.

In the sense that this issue is to resulve how ssn:Observation can become an activity, the early part of the following email thread also addressed this question.
