Some readers of English may be unfamiliar with the notation used to describe RDF graphs in this document; we recommend that a pointer to documentation for the notation be provided, and that each expression in the formal notation be accompanied by an English paraphrase of its meaning. (This practice introduces a certain amount of redundancy, which is useful for people who understand the formalism but don't read English well, or vice versa, and makes it easier to find typos, errors, and discrepancies.)
