AB: I posted a draft agenda yesterday http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-pointer-events/2014OctDec/0099.html. Any change requests?
[ None ]
AB: we now have an Implementation
report that shows 100% pass for IE and FFMetro http://w3c.github.io/test-results/pointerevents/all.html.
As such we have met Candidate Recommendation interoperability
requirement.
... thanks to Jacob, Asir, Matt for running the tests!
… that's a lot of work!
MB: I'll pass that to my testers (I didn't run them personally)
AB: one commenter submitted a
review for the Last Call and that comment is tracked in
https://www.w3.org/wiki/PointerEvents/Comments-LCWD-2014-11-13.
The comment resulted in several changes to the spec but none
are considered substantive.
... does anyone disagree the changes are non-substantive?
[ No disagreement ]
RESOLUTION: the group agrees the changes made as a result of the 13-Nov-2014 LCWD review are non-substantive.
AB: the draft Proposed Rec is
https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/pointerevents/raw-file/tip/publish/tr.html.
... As discussed on December 2 with Philippe (http://www.w3.org/2014/12/02-pointerevents-minutes.html#item05),
there are two normative dependencies that are not yet at
Proposed Recommendations (D3E and DOM4).
... we agreed the PE spec is using stable definitions in these
references and the Draft PR reflects that via the statement "By
publishing this Proposed Recommendation, W3C expects that the
functionality specified in this Proposed Recommendation will
not be affected by changes to DOM Level 3 Events or DOM4 as
those specifications proceed to Recommendation."
... I would like to determine if there is consensus on the
above statement. Does anyone object to it or have concerns
about it?
[ None ]
RESOLUTION: the group agrees the PR will not be affected by changes to D3E or DOM4.
AB: given this, it appears we have consensus to publish the Proposed Recommendation. Who supports publishing a Proposed Recommendation?
AV: support
JR: support
AB: support on behalf of Nokia
SG: support
MB: support
AB: are there any objections to publishing a Proposed Recommendation of Pointer Events?
RB: I do not object
AB: having heard no objections ...
RESOLUTION: the group agrees to publish a Proposed Recommendation of Pointer Events.
AB: thanks to Everyone for their contributions. It has been a real pleasure to work with all of you. I've been very impressed with the professionalism exhibited, and getting to PR when we said we would (two years ago)!
AV: congrats to the WG
AB: anything else on this
topic
... my expectation is the Director's call will be tomorrow
AB: any other topics for
today?
... Would people like to use the bridge reservation for Touch
Events CG?
RB: the main Q is if there is sufficient interest to have a call
… it's ok with me
JR: I'm ok to have a call
RB: in particular, a discussion about events derived from other event types
AB: I think a working assumption then would be for Rick to propose an agenda
… and the CG can use this time slot
RB: ok; I'll send something to the CG list
AB: anything else
… meeting adjourned
… thanks all!
<shepazu> hey, artb, sorry I missed the call
<shepazu> artb, let me know what I need to do to get this published
