<MarkCrawford> Harry - I double checked and we do have the Zakim bridge every Wednesday from 12 to 1. However, at the moment I am getting an invalid passcode.

<harry> Weird. What passcode did you try?

<MarkCrawford> 76244#

<MarkCrawford> I have been on hold for an operator for the last 5 minutes

<MarkCrawford> trackbot, start meeting

<trackbot> Sorry, but no Tracker is associated with this channel.

<harry> It might not let you in until the telecon starts

<harry> Tracker, this is SOCIG

<harry> tracker, this will be SOCIG

<MarkCrawford> My email from Maria indicated that we had this every week.and I checked the calendar and it shows us as meeting

<harry> yes, my impression as well

<harry> am checking with admin/systems team now

<MarkCrawford> shall we switch voice to my SAP number?

<harry> Yes, this is really weird

<harry> We may have to - can you set it up

<harry> ?

<MarkCrawford> OK. Sending an email to the list now with the call details.

<MarkCrawford> Participant Passcode: 439 288 5451

<AnnBassetti> is that the passcode or the phone num?

<MarkCrawford> us 1-866 312-7353

<MarkCrawford> +44 20 3364 5639

<harry> I'm hearing music Mark

<AdamB> means your in the right place :)

<AdamB> i am too

<AnnBassetti> I'm in .. music too

<harry> ok, ping me when you are ready

<MarkCrawford> bridge opened

<Lloyd_Fassett_> I'm in now too

<Arnaud> zakim in limbo?

<harry> scribe: AnnBassetti (in a minute)

<Lloyd_Fassett_> Arnaud do you have the call in information? It was e-mailed.

<harry> Scribenick: harry

<Arnaud> got it, thanks

rollcall: Ann, AdamB, MarkC, Arnaud, Lloyd, James

Minutes from last meeting:

[I'll track them down]

<Lloyd_Fassett_> Link to Use Case list: http://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF/Social_Data_Syntax/Profile_Scenarios

<AdamB> does the wiki need to be updated to link to the latest minutes?

Minutes approved

[if you can do that real quick AdamB, that would be great]

TPAC

<Loqi> AnnBassetti meant to say: I'm in .. music too

10-11 on Tuesday

<Loqi> I added a countdown for 10/28 12:00am (#5528)

<scribe> Scribenick: AnnBassetti

<harry> I think 10-11 sounds good

<harry> Larry Hawes is not on the call

Mark: next Tuesday, at TPAC, we're slated to present
... to present use cases to Social Web WG
... 10:00-11:00

Arnaud: the WG is meeting on Mon / Tues
... IG not formally scheduled to meet
... at TPAC
... mostly same people

MarkC: yes, mostly the same, but diffs in who's a W3C member

Harry: also, membership (in WG / IG) will likely change over time

MarkC: mostly an issue of Intellectual Property .. members must make IP commitments; non-members (who are limited to Interest Group) are not

<AdamB> believe i've added link to Oct 01 minutes to wiki

MarkC: clarifying that participants who are IG-only participants, are invited to sit in on WG meeting at TPAC
... IF there is interest and people can attend, MarkC volunteers to lead an informal IG meeting

best time seems to be Friday, for IG meeting

Harry: bigger rooms are all filled; but we can find informal space

<harry> scribenick: harry

<AnnBassetti> MarkC: will send out mail to find out who's avail

Lloyd: I will be leaving Thursday

<Lloyd_Fassett_> Harry: IG Members can attend and the WG meetings at TPAC.

Only issue would be concerns if substantial techncial points were made that effected implementations

but use-case and vocabulary discussions, being in remit of IG, would be welcome throughout both Monday and Tuesday

MarkC: Monday discussion summary?

<Lloyd_Fassett_> MarkC: Status of the Use Cases. Who can update us from the Monday call?

<Lloyd_Fassett_> AdamB: Ann, Adam and Elf wen through the use cases. They talked about other use cases and actions looking for inspiration to write a new use case. Adam discussed a Q&A use case.

<Lloyd_Fassett_> MarkC: Adam, do we know where we have related use cases <garbled>. Several weeks ago we had agreed to a template for Use Cases. Are they in the wiki?

<Lloyd_Fassett_> Adam: many of the use cases needed to be broken out into that template separately

<Lloyd_Fassett_> AdamB: Are we supposed to be looking at Profile? Most are around that?

<Lloyd_Fassett_> MarkC: No, the use case can be anything. There are no limitations.

<Lloyd_Fassett_> We need to use the template to create a W3C report.

<Lloyd_Fassett_> http://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF/Social_Data_Syntax/Profile_Scenarios

<MarkCrawford> https://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF

<Arnaud> +q

<Lloyd_Fassett_> Arnaud: The WG does not have use case requirements. The IG does not have limitations the scope of the Use Cases. We can suggest which ones are in scope. The WG is free to accept it, or filter it and select parts...that's up to the WG.

<Lloyd_Fassett_> +q

<Arnaud> ack

<AnnBassetti> Lloyd: attended some WG meetings

<AnnBassetti> ... a question about what Boeing is doing with Activity Streams

<AnnBassetti> Adam: we're using SIOC and FOAF in our social tool,

<AnnBassetti> ... have mocked up Activity Streams format, but not deployed

that is, if you guys can go public with everything.

<AdamB> there has been limited utilization of the SIOC and FOAF to date

<AnnBassetti> Lloyd, Harry: would be valuable if Ann and Adam could document our real-life experience with social tool at Boeing

<AnnBassetti> ... could we document our Q&A tool?

<AnnBassetti> Adam: yes

<AnnBassetti> Harry: please document what we need for profile federation between tools (e.g., our social tool, plus SharePoint or other commercial tools)

<AnnBassetti> <someone>: how does Boeing handle declaration of skills?

<AnnBassetti> Adam: various mechanisms .. self-declared and formal

<AdamB> makes sense MarkCrawford

<AnnBassetti> MarkC: need to back off from drilling down on specific implementations; need to make sure we've captured what we need for TPAC meetings next week

<AnnBassetti> ... need to figure out how to present

<AnnBassetti> ... asking Arnaud how we should present?

<AnnBassetti> Arnaud: first, give overview of what IG has done

<AnnBassetti> AdamB: how should we optimize our time before TPAC? ... fill in gaps in Use Cases, or formalize the format?

<AnnBassetti> MarkC: <seeks feedback from group on what to do in next week>

<AnnBassetti> ... will reach out to Larry Hawes to see if he's got time to put together what we'll present to WG

<AnnBassetti> ... if he's not available, MarkC will make a straw horse

<AnnBassetti> ... everyone should add focus areas and any other info to the wiki

<AnnBassetti> ... the more the better!

<AdamB> +1 on that approach

<AnnBassetti> +1

<AnnBassetti> Lloyd: if we're adding more, both our use cases and links to the preceding work

<AnnBassetti> ... might be helpful to make a chart illustrating relationships

<AnnBassetti> I'm still confused about which wiki page is for the use cases

<AnnBassetti> I find: http://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF

<AnnBassetti> and I find: http://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF/Social_Data_Syntax/Profile_Scenarios

<AdamB> the second link is a child page to the first link

<AdamB> all the task forces are listed on the main IG page: https://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig

<MarkCrawford> in the first link is an area called Use Case Collection by Focus Area

<Loqi> AnnBassetti meant to say: and I find: http://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF/Social_Data_Syntax/Profile_Scenarios

<MarkCrawford> which is where you find the link to the social data syntax page

<AdamB> this page: https://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig has a link to: https://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF which has a link to: https://www.w3.org/wiki/Socialig/Use_Case_TF/Social_Data_Syntax

<AnnBassetti> (still trying to figure out which Use Case wiki page is the main one>

<AnnBassetti> ACTIONS: Mark will try to clean up wiki

<AnnBassetti> ACTION: to all, add more use cases and flesh them out [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2014/10/22-socialig-minutes.html#action02]

<trackbot> Sorry, but no Tracker is associated with this channel.

<AnnBassetti> Ann: how are we going to handle all the preceding UseCase work

<AnnBassetti> ... from earlier 2 groups (incubator, etc)

<AnnBassetti> <Ann leaves>

<Lloyd_Fassett_> ACTION: Lloyd to see if categorization for use cases could be useful guide to Types of Use Cases [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2014/10/22-socialig-minutes.html#action03]

<trackbot> Sorry, but no Tracker is associated with this channel.

<scribe> Scribenick: harry

EdKatFord: I've moved some of the XG use-cases over, going through them now

Lloyd: Meeting again?

MarkC: We can try to gather Monday
... probably not time for another telecon
... need to finalize what we want to do on Tuesday

<Loqi> I added a countdown for 10/28 12:00am (#5529)

Lloyd: +1

Meeting adjourned.
