PROPOSAL: Accept the minutes of last meeting http://www.w3.org/2012/05/22-RDB2RDF-minutes.html

<boris> +1

<ivan> +1

RESOLUTION: Accept the minutes of last meeting http://www.w3.org/2012/05/22-RDB2RDF-minutes.html

Implementation Report

Michael: Ashok has asked implementors re EARL reports

Juan: EARL reports will be available by end of week for both

<MacTed> prioritization of testing, etc., is always a challenge... but DM and R2RML implementation is definitely planned, has been for year-plus, I don't understand why OpenLink is not on the list as in agenda

Ivan: for the complete test suite?

Juan: yes

Boris: We plan to have the EARL reports ready by end of June for R2RML

<MacTed> http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/wiki/Implementations

Nuno: I can send the EARL report today or tomorrow latest for both R2RML and DM except TC16 and TC17

Eric: Beside the base directive I pass all DM test

… I can send and update EARL report ASAP (this week)

<nunolopes> +q

Nuno: should we do more RDBMS

Michael: No formal requirement but yes, the more the merrier

Richard: D2RQ status - DM: As of today we pass all test cases except two that require duplicate preservation. Earl report is forthcoming, probably later this week.

D2RQ status - R2RML: It's work in progress. It won't be done 100% by the 19th. There's a good chance that we'll have everything complete by the 26th.

Ted: Can't give a definitive date for EARL reports but we're working on it heavily

Michael: WG-external we have Toby Inkster for R2RML and DM

<Zakim> ericP, you wanted to ask about XHMTL manifest

Test Cases

ericP: Test manifest is in HTML+RDFa, can we change to XHTML

<boris> http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/r2rml/

http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/test-cases/

Boris: Will take care of it

Michael: Status re TC?

Boris: Richard pointed out some issues - all fixed

… also the null-col values

… some issues by Toby

<boris> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdb2rdf-comments/2012Jun/0003.html

<boris> Hyphens are allowed in bnode identifiers by Turtle, but not by N-Triples or N-Quads.

<boris> http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/r2rml/#note-blank-node-identifiers

<boris> Strings matching the regular expression [a-zA-Z_][a-zA-Z_0-9-]* are valid blank node identifiers in all W3C-recommended RDF syntaxes (as of this document's publication).

<boris> http://sw.deri.org/2008/07/n-quads/

<ericP> http://www.w3.org/TR/rdf-testcases/#name

<juansequeda> But don't we use n-quads for the test cases with rr:graph?

Michael: that is my understanding as well, Juan

<juansequeda> Can't we just take the hyphen out? and voila :)

(discussion around N-Quads, etc.)

Michael: Let's just take out the hyphen, yes

<boris> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdb2rdf-comments/2012Jun/0006.html

Boris: re base URI

<boris> http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/test-cases/#tc

<boris> Throughout all test cases, we use the base IRI <http://example.com/base/>: to turn relative IRIs generated by the Direct Mapping into absolute IRIs, as the required base IRI input to the R2RML processor.

<boris> http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/rdb2rdf/r2rml/#definitions

Boris: will change that and let Toby know
... Third issue by Toby re rr:objectMap has been fixed

<boris> http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdb2rdf-comments/2012Jun/0008.html

Eric: discuss design decision, maybe?

Michael: Without Richard?

<Zakim> ericP, you wanted to ask about @base directives

AOB

Ivan: Lots of people at SemTech that are using R2RML without knowing it, really
... should be a good motivation for us to get the stuff out ASAP

ericP: Did a tutorial re SPARQL access to SQL DBs

… good and interested audience

<Zakim> ericP, you wanted to talk about SPARQL access to SQL DBs tutorial

Juan: First part was Eric, then more on data integration with SW technologies

Nuno: I was looking at the DM the other day and found some minor syntax bugs

Michael: Please report to the list, Nuno so we can fix it (editorial wise) in PR transition

Ivan: looking through the implementations we could have a transition by 1 July

Michael: I'd like to check back with Ashok and Richard (re R2RML in D2R)

(meeting adjourned)
