Tomb: it's done
Jodi: need to emphasize (bold)
the target audience for recommendations
... can do it in the wiki
<scribe> ACTION: antoine to bold audience in exec summ [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2011/09/15-lld-minutes.html#action01]
Tomb: done except IRIs
addition
... but has been fixed now
Antoine: yes, done.
<antoine> is http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/lld/wiki/ExecutiveSummary ok?
Peter: edits have been made, so done
Edsu and others to fix the first sentence of http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/lld/wiki/Draft_recommendations_page_take2#Design_and_test_user_services_
Tomb: "should" too strong in that sentence -> "could"
Tomb: now we can declare the section done
kcoyle: lots of edits were lost
Tomb: done
Peter: its ok
<antoine> karen, just to check: http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/lld/wiki/index.php?title=Draft_Vocabularies_Datasets_Section2&diff=6477&oldid=6427 ?
Karen: to be done = put tables in
alphabetical order
... if we do it in the wiki, the diff will be useless
... so we should do it only if the editing is done
<antoine> and we have to finish the acks...
karen: ack the individual cases ?
Antoine: volunteer to add them to ack's (except cases submitted by ourselves)
<tbaker> Owen Stephens contributed experience report from the JISC Open Bibliographic Data Guide.
<jodi> We also gratefully acknowledge information from the JISC Open Bibliographic Data Guide by Owen Stephens.
<jodi> We also gratefully acknowledge information about the JISC Open Bibliographic Data Guide provided by Owen Stephens.
<jodi> We also gratefully acknowledge information about the JISC Open Bibliographic Data Guide provided by Owen Stephens, as well as the data guide itself which provided the basis for several cases.
Jodi: it needs another pass
... it's very detailed so we have to check everything is clear
and understandable
Karen: we need to make it more
readable in HTML : a lot of links, many are repeated
... depends on how it's going to be used
TomB: do we want to publish all
the deliverables in the same time ? deliverable C may take more
time
... proposed to publish deliverable A and B
Antoine: in the HTML, the links
will be to the scenarios
... and the summaries in deliverable B
<pmurray> A heads up. I have a conference call at the top of the hour, so I will drop off soon. Jodi and Karen, can we schedule a Skype call to divvy up the tasks of converting to HTML?
<jodi> sure, Peter
Jodi: just change how usage examples are presented, not remove them
Antoine: we would use a HTML trick that would expand usage examples only when you click on it
<tbaker> +1 for Usage Examples button that expands, and putting the links there
<scribe> ACTION: karen, Peter and Jodi to put expandable buttons for usage links in deliverable C [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2011/09/15-lld-minutes.html#action02]
<Zakim> tbaker, you wanted to point out that the wording "This inventory, presented in a side deliverable @@@CITE@@@" in
Karen: we should try the HTML transformation in order to evaluate the work
TomB: target date for publication is hard coded in the directory name where we put the deliverables
Karen: we need to evaluate the work first, in order to set up a date
TomB: we can edit docs somewhere
else and move them when we know the date. The other option is
to edit them at the expected final destination.
... we then rely on security by obscurity. Danger: people could
find the link.
... we would need a header to indicated that it's not
finished.
Karen: we could share a space, dropbox for instance, and then publish them when they are ready.
TomB: if we want to work on the W3C site, we need to use CVS, give a SSH key...
Jodi: the links to the documents themselves are relatively limited.
Karen: main work will be on formatting, we need to do that before moving to W3C site;
<scribe> ACTION: Karen, Peter and Jodi to meet and discuss HTML transformation + dropbox [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2011/09/15-lld-minutes.html#action03]
TomB: any restrictions on editing
deliverable C ?
... make sure to save frequently when working on the wiki
