<mhausenblas> Agenda: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdb2rdf-wg/2011Mar/0137.html

<ericP> (meeting with validator folks)

1. Admin + PROPOSAL: Accept the minutes of last meeting http://www.w3.org/2011/03/22-rdb2rdf-minutes.html

<boris> I also sent regrets

Michael: I did send regrets

<mhausenblas> +1

RESOLUTION: Minutes approved with additional regrets as above

Test Cases

Test case slides: http://oegdev.dia.fi.upm.es/projects/rdb2rdf/RDB2RDFTestCases.pdf

Boris: Summary of Test Cases and next steps
... Discusses organization of Test Cases

<dmcneil> +q

Boris: all test cases were accepted

<mhausenblas> http://www.w3.org/TR/EARL10-Schema/

Michael: Asks about capturing results of tests

Eric: SPARQL tests use EARL

Michael: Can we use for our tests

<dmcneil> This is a tangent, but are we not supposed to pronounce R2RML as "R-2-RML"?

+1 to David

<ericP> -> EARL Reports for SPARQL http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/DataAccess/tests/earl

<ericP> -> EARL for SPARQL discussion: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-dawg/2006OctDec/0009

Eric: Wants descriptive names for databases

Boris: I will rename testcases and databases
... We will add testcases based on new discussions

Michael: Asks if we need a test harness that you could run locally

David: +1

<dmcneil> +q

Eric: Asks how folks that implement R2RML as a SPARQL endpoint will implment the test

David: Can we name the tests so they sort properly alphanumerically

Michael: Can you share your testing apparatus?

David: We are having a public demo ... we could contribute to the WG

<Zakim> ericP, you wanted to ask about the SPARQL tests of virtual graphs

David: We could contribute the beta

Eric: How do you test the graph output of the tests?
... problem with variable predicates

<dmcneil> +q

<boris> I can create a wiki page with initial ideas

Michael: Lets have a look at what David contributes

David: Timeframe?
... and how are tests launched?

<ericP> tests not technically needed before CR, but any testing surprises may send you back to LC

Michael: I would feel better if we sorted out the test situation earlier
... the more we automate the better bit some flexibility is needed
... Asks about flexibity of database

<Zakim> ericP, you wanted to say that SPARQL just provided data

Souri: Keep use of SQL simple and use features generally available

Eric: SPARQL just said Here is the data, here are the results.
... everyone implmented their own

Michael: You are arguing against a standard test harness?

Eric: Let's be flexible

David: Outlines a possible structure for running the tests

Boris: We can discuss

<ericP> SPARQL used tests to exemplify design choices; the Manifest listed the tests needed for the implementation report.

<boris> thanks ericP

<ericP> quite welecome
