<tmichel> no I am on Zakim

wonsuk: need to decide about publication of lc
... proposed date: after AC meeting

daniel: thierry, criteria for going to last call?
... at f2f we decided to have reviews from outside the group before going to lc
... eg tag, webapp, mfwg

<tobias> ??P8 is me

thierry: one we go to lc, we must stay in lc for 4 weeks
... should we publish before f2f in order to discuss comments
... seems not to be possible, likely to publish after ac meeting

daniel: we can feedback when updated draft is avialable today
... we can updated based on feedback
... and decide in wg when we are ready to go to lc

ma:location attribute

<tobias> @daniel: I just wanted to mention that I will come to the F2F meeting in Vienna.

bennett: same discussion in metadata working group
... bennett marks from nokia, involved in metadata working group (mwg)
... mwg is industry consortium dealing with embedded metadata in consumer apps
... found it important in mwg to separate location created and shown

daniel: felix send info about geolocation wg

bennett: mwg based on iptc notion of these properties

mail from bennett: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-media-annotation/2010Mar/0008.html

bennett: most standards had to deal with this issue, and separated these notions
... (1) ma:location should be location created
... (2) if we add property about content location, we might need controlled vocabulary to make it useful

pchampin: content location might be fictional

wonsuk: agrees with bennett
... when we decided core property, we considered how many formats supported a property
... we should check how many formats support depicted location

bennett: supported in iptc, exif, and probably many others
... in a number of cases the semantics were not clear
... even in iptc it's only clarified in the most recent revision

pchampin: we agree that ma:location is about creation location
... we propose content location at the moment
... raises question if we should rename ma:location to make it semantically clearer
... add content location as subproperty of ma:location
... proposes to keep them separate, as creation location is well defined, while content location is more fuzzy#

<bmarks> +1

daniel: we need more discussion on the mailing list
