Social Web WG Face to Face Meeting in Portland (F2F6)

The Social Web Working Group's sixth face-to-face meeting was in Portland, OR, USA on and .

The meeting will be held at:

Metal Toad, Portland
522 SW 5th Ave, Suite 400
Portland, OR 97204

Here's a map showing a few of the important spots, including the meeting location, airport, MAX stop, food cart pods, hotels, and a few coffee shops!

The lightrail (MAX) will drop you off a block from the office from the airport. It costs $2.50 for a ticket.

  • Public transit directions
  • There are signs in the airport for the MAX station, but it's basically at the farthest right part of the airport as you are exiting.

You can also take Lyft or Uber from the airport, they will pick you up in the lower level, in a section named "Transportation Network Companies." The cost will be about $18-22 for UberX. More info on the Uber blog.

If you want to take a local cab, Aaron recommends calling Radio Cab (503-227-1212) when you are just outside security, and they will meet you in the lower level for pickup. Alternately, there is usually a line of cabs ready to take people in the lower level.

Here are a few nearby recommended hotels:

Participation is limited to Working Group Members (including invited experts). If you wish to attend please join the Social Web WG (per How to participate), or contact a chair on IRC #social for observer consideration.
