Markus Krötzsch
As of 2009, Markus Krötzsch is a researcher at the Institute of Applied Informatics and Formal Description Methods (AIFB) of the Universität Karlsruhe (TH) where he is also working on his PhD thesis. He received his Master of Science at the International Center for Computational Logic at Dresden University of technology in 2005. His research is focused on knowledge representation on the Semantic Web, its practical applications, and its algorithmic and logical foundations. He also is the lead developer of the successful Semantic Web application platform Semantic MediaWiki, co-editor of the upcoming W3C OWL 2 specification, chief maintainer of the semanticweb.org community portal, and co-author of the textbook Foundations of Semantic Web Technologies.
