Matthias [Reporting on the poster for ISMB] People should review the poster layout(http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLS/ISMB2007). I need feedback by July 10 when the poster must be submitted. The ISMB presentation is on July 20.

Matthias [Speaking on the URI note] I created a wiki page (http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLS/HCLS_URI_matrix) with a matrix with lists the features of the candidate URI schemes.

Scott [Reporting on his action item for the URI note] I completed my review of the URI requirements on the wiki. There needs to be a short list of requirements, each labeled as "necessary" or "optional". The use of controlled vocabularies should also be a requirement. I will edit the wiki pages to reflect these comments.

Jonathan [Reporting on his efforts for the URI note] My efforts were sent to the list (http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-semweb-lifesci/2007Jul/0001.html). I need to write up a lot stuff related to these activities. The Cool URIs document (http://www.dfki.uni-kl.de/~sauermann/2006/11/cooluris/) is 80-90% in harmony with our current URI recommendations.

Eric P. It is my responsibility to harmonize the documents.

Alan Problems with harmonizing these documents include content negotiation, and "#" vs. "/" URIs. We should have discussions with some TAG people like Dan Connelly.

Eric P. I will arrange for such discussions.

Susie Of SWEO people, only Leo participates in Cool URI. He should be included in the discussion. I am making progress in identifying people interested in LSIDs. I will be contacting them.

Eric P. I added navigation to the wiki pages on URIs. Look at the page http://esw.w3.org/topic/HCLSIG_BioRDF_Subgroup/Tasks/URI_Best_Practices to find everything else.

Alan [Reporting on the status of the demo] The demo will be up soon at Wright State University. DERI is getting quotes for a machine, and they are also looking for people. There have been several volunteers to evaluate the DrugDB database (http://www.e-mds.com/solutions/drug_database/). Much progress has been made so far.

Don We are ready to set the demo at our location.

[Alan and Don will start an email exchange and document the steps involved]

Alan The first step is to download and install Virtuoso.

Matthias [Reporting on a meeting at Yale about the conversion of Senselab to OWL] We will document the process in an email. We need to get feedback from BFO before including in the demo.

Alan Since EAVCR, the Yale DB system, resembles RDF, why not dump the contents to RDF? From this representation, the OWL representation could be built.

Eric P. I took notes at the Yale meeting. We plan to create a W3 Note to document the conversion process.

Eric P. [Speaking about the next Charter for HCLS] In order to develop the new Charter for HCLS, we need to find out what people are willing to do. The new Charter may restructure the HCLS subgroups.

Susie Next week on the call, we should discuss the status of data sets to be added to the demo.
