RE: [Cloud Browser] Technology Pitch Chapter

Dear Jacob,

Thank you for your input, these are very important ideas.

Would it be possible for you to provide some input for the dedicated 360 Use Case?

Thank you, Alexandra. I believe it would be a “thin-client” approach.

One more item: I’m concerned with 360-video at the moment, since I am involved in creating environments. As such, a 2D stream is understandable, but not necessarily applicable to a client that requires a culling camera.

I propose a buffer zone - holding less-resolute environment data based on UI paths For example, Facebook renders a “skybox” by sending only specific streams to a user based on the faces of the box they are viewing. With a head-mounted display, it is quite jarring to experience “lag” when shifting perspectives. I understand this is a niche use-case for the moment, but it is indeed an extremely important factor for immersive media consumption.

Regards
Jacob

Dear Jacob,

This is a technology pitch, where we do not go into details.
However, I have updated the figure accordingly, will that be OK? See [1].

The group first aims to put the API requirements together. Therefore, for the moment we do not decide how to integrate certain features. We have a dedicated accessibility Use Case for that matter in [2].
Will that be possible that somebody from the accessibility group will give us a hand and provide a first input for the accessibility Use Case?

Forgive me, but how would this be integrated with accessibility standards?

Cheers

Dear all,

during our last call we have identified a missing part in our architecture description – a short technology pitch. See the corresponding action [1]. I have provided the first draft for the pitch, please see the corresponding chapter [2].

Waiting for your comments!
